After the events of the Royal Wedding between Princess Cadence and Shining Armour, the kingdom of Equestria has never enjoyed more peace.
However, a disgraced unicorn, Trixie, has come to Twilight asking for help at the hint of a threat that will lead to the eventual downfall of the royal family and a civil war of Equestria. It is the actions of Twilight and her friends, of the ashamed and demoralised Princess Celestia and the unduly-feared-if-hardworking Princess Luna, will decide how this ends.
Will the ties between the races of unicorn, pegasus and earth pony hold even in the face of this new threat? Without the ties of the Royals to bind them? Will the other races, long envious of the prosperity of Equestria, see an opportunity?
Will Equestria survive? Or will a new ruler rise up and claim it for her own?

One slight thing though. At the end of the first section of chapter 2 you seem to be referring to Sweetie Belle as a member of Applejack's family. Sweetie Belle is Rarity's sister, so that doesn't make much sense. I think you meant Applebloom.

You know what's even more stupid than that? I'd actually checked up on that, noticed that it was Apple Bloom, made a point to notice that, and then apparently wrote Sweetie Bell anyway.
Why does everybody think trixie is the one at fault? Yeah she lied, but it was those two little idiots that went and woke up the ursa minor, almost screwing over and nearly destroying the town, yet they got off scot freakin free!

Oh, I haven't forgotten. Notice how they're not there anymore? That'll get mentioned.
But it's mostly because Trixie wasn't repentant for long, continued to act as such when she left, her boasting led to it, and has a haughty attitude which others don't like.
