The Princess Rarity

Quirky teenage girl who writes about cartoons & has an obsession with sparkly things & cute dorks. Goes through life following by Dr. Seuss's wise words; "You have to be odd to be number one."

T

Throughout their years on this strange world called Earth, the Dazzlings have gotten used to the lifestyle humans live. They've even blended in as well as they can, and now with their powers stripped, they have no choice. Unfortunately, on this Christmas Eve, these three best friends are anything but merry. Adagio is working and Aria is being bugged by Sonata to do all of the stupid Christmas things, like shopping and seeing Santa Claus.

...but, perhaps, this year, they will all learn a lesson about the holiday.

“No!” Sonata replied. Her expression fell and she stammered. “Well, technically, yes. But also no, because it’s not just a Wednesday, it’s also Christmas Eve!” Her friends stared at her for a minute, and she rolled her eyes. “Remember back home in Equestria -- it was called Hearth’s Warming?”

*looks at the date on his computer*
>Wednesday, 24th December.

Nice touch.

You got this done ahead of schedule, this whole story made me laugh and smile. Who knew an old antique could bring the Dazzlings closer on this joyous of holidays, a huge thumbs up for you, Your Highness.

Oh and happy holidays!

This is so heart-warming and sweet. I love seeing stories that show the good side of the Dazzlings.

Wow. Well done, Toni. Just... Well done. :pinkiesad2: Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

The Dazzlings are always just so fun to read about. Great story!

even when they did have to live on the street for a little while in the first few months of their banishment in this strange world

Pretty sure streets didn't exist when they got banished. :derpytongue2:

The Dazzlings are always more interesting together, and this did a splendid job of showcasing their differing personalities against a holiday backdrop. There were a few errors here and there, and a stunning lack of actual singing of Christmas carols, but this was an enjoyable read regardless.

5418396 I admit, I had lost a bit of my magic -- it took me nearly half an hour to think up the title for this story. :facehoof:

are we going to Chipotle for dinner? Did Adagio get a boyfriend?

One: I freakin love Chipotle!!!!!!!!!!!!!:flutterrage:

Two: Me!:trollestia:

Oh and three: Love the story...LIKE FAV AND WATCH!!!

What the hay, they didn't sing Christmas carols at all, you lied to me! I demand a refund!

YOU'RE ALIVE!!! *tacklehugs*

Merry Christmas, Toni-bear. (Can I call you that?)

That was super cute. Sonata is the best.

Sonata was always the sweetest girl anyone could ever meet

Ain't it the truth! Yes, in the movie she was still a meanie, but she had an aspect to her personality that makes bronies' portrayals of her look distinctively true-to-character. She definitely had a sweetness about her that the others lacked.

This is the second Xmas sirens fic I've read so far, and it's just as good as the other one. It gets all three girls (post-magic) just right. They really are the perfect characters for such a story and I'm happy to find and read them.

Xmas sirens are best sirens! :pinkiehappy:

I wish I'd thought of that!

I think the fandom has a new motto.

5418893 It was sort of a pun with alliteration and references. Like I said to Raz, I lost my magic! Besides, the title was either what it is now or Once Upon a December. So yeah. But Sonata did sing a lyric of Let It Snow -- and that counts!

5420171 Hay yeah you can! *tackle hugs back*

5420462 THEY HAVE THE CUTEST FRIENDSHIP I DON'T KNOW WHY EVERYONE DOESN'T LOVE THEM TO BITS.

Damn...that was good:pinkiehappy:

Kinda makes me sad, though. The spirit of Christmas was REALLY lost on me this year...:fluttercry:

Loved the Polar Express reference, and personally love that song

I can say I like the chapter title, The Polar Express is awesome movie and the song at the credits is even better.

“Except that week we tried to take over the school,” Sonata added.

Leaning on the fourth wall is my favorite freaking thing, I swear.

This was too cute. :pinkiehappy:

I know the feel. I got slammed by some massive car repair bills this year. Kinda put a major damper on my holiday.
