Sometimes I forget that I've written fan fiction.
Aria Blaze enters a low-grade singing competition in order to gain its audience's hatred and reassure to herself that she's lost her singing voice forever, but fate has different plans when she comes across a Sapphire Shores who wants to prove that she has the skills to teach absolutely anyone how to sing.

Interesting start, especially with Sapphire Shores' motivation; it's almost selfish - wanting to teach Aria so that it would reflect positively back on herself, and perhaps as a challenge to herself. It'll be interesting to see if that changes as time goes on, once she gets to actually know Aria.
Heh, that's one way to do it - "I'll pay you so I can teach you singing lessons!"
This is a really interesting story so far, and pretty decently written thus far.
Also, that you have Best Siren as the focus doesn't hurt either! 
Finally! A fic about Aria without the other two Dazzlings! I have been waiting for this for however long it's been since Rainbow Rocks came out. Just take my upvote.
But what exactly was Aria trying to do? Just prove to herself that she can't sing so she could get some sort of closure? Get people angry at her for power? (I don't think that's how it works, and even if it was, there are probably easier ways to get people angry.)
I also noticed a few typos and the like, so an editor would probably be helpful here.

Well that was a fun little story. Definitely not the best I've read or anything, and the story could have been more substantial, but it was good for a first (or second, from the looks of it) attempt at writing.
But even though there wasn't a whole lot here, I did enjoy what was here.
I should probably include a disclaimer that I have been looking for a story about Aria without the other two Dazzlings ever since I saw the movie, and this is the first and only one to pop up, so I am a bit biased.
And you should be happy to know that this story has given me a bit of inspiration for a potential story about Sapphire Shores and the Dazzlings. We'll see if anything comes from it.
