"To survive in this world you need to do one of the following; lose yourself to it, go mad, survive or get broken." For Inkwell, those words should of come sooner; had he known them after hoofington he'd probably still be free.
Now this is a part I've been looking forward to, the formal introduction of the purple-eyed man who first made an appearance aboard a train in the Asia Side-Story. You do well at capturing the essence of youthful determination remaining beneath his weariness at what the world has become, and I can tell he's a character I'm going to like very much.
Though Sunset Shimmer's entrance into this story felt a little rushed, I like that it hints there is still more to be discovered of the Spectrumverse's lore. How will she react to all that has changed since her exile? In what strange pocket dimension do humans exist who know nothing of the Solar Empire?
But my favourite moment was the glimpse into the mind of a Newfoal. I don't know if I'll ever really find these creatures scary when they can be hurt by a filly singing, yet what I know is that it's just so sad to see the last trace of who they once were fighting to remember.
So THAT'S what happens when a newfoal goes against their programming. Very interesting look into the mind of one.
5791014 Trust me, you're going to see more soon enough of side Effects of Newfoal Programming and the Geis.
How interesting...
Also, Newfoal version of the Blue Screen of Death.
731, 731, hm.
I detect a World War II reference.
