"To survive in this world you need to do one of the following; lose yourself to it, go mad, survive or get broken." For Inkwell, those words should of come sooner; had he known them after hoofington he'd probably still be free.
Perhaps Sunset Shimmer exists here because of Starswirl's Mirror. Think about it: it led into a human world, but apart from the high school, it was never explicitly denied that it was Earth.
But that brings me to a rather curious point - if Sunset is hit with the Potion, will she lose her personality, or just return to being a normally functioning unicorn?
Inkwell's segment, and really the whole "Empire" chapter in Calm Before The Storm were some of my favourite scenes from the Spectrumverse. So I can see why you'd think it was a nice idea to pursue his story in the gulag... which, even though it's unlikely to happen, I'm now already hoping will be subject to a mass breakout scene like the one from Vorkuta in COD: Black Ops (one of the few legitimately awesome moments in the piece of fascistic propaganda that is Call of Duty).
This is quite atmospheric and I am intrigued to know what happens next; grammar and spelling are fine, though you do need to correct your use of times in a few places where it abruptly switches between past and present tense. Inkwell is a likeable enough character and I see potential in the future interactions with his very differently-tempered cellmate.
Keep up the good fight against the unholy forces of the Conversion Bureau!
So Sunset does exist here, I wonder what role she plays. First comment!

5222555 A good guess
Why does this have a Sunset Shimmer tag?
5229523 Because she's in the story/will be?
