Firstly, the term "Scab-water" doesn't actualy offend me in any way, as it isn't actualy part of the english language. Nor can you have a "pile" of water. Basic physics make your statement void.
Secondly, your punctuation could use some improvement. Even six-year-olds know that a sentence needs a capital letter at the begining. You should try to work on that.

This story seem more realisitic in it portrayal of Chrysalis than most others I've read over the last day or two. Most other stories had Chrysalis starting to have a change of heart or a willingness to help right in the 1st chapter.
That seem too OOC, IMO Chrysalis would try her normal changling nature to try to use and control whomever she came across, like in your story.
Of course in later chapters she most likely will change for the better, I just hope you do it slowly and logically, and not just suddenly "zap" I'm now in love, I must be good from now on.

I know this is ancient, but I couldn't not point out that one can, in fact, have a pile of water. You can make a pile of ice easily enough, after all, and ice is literally just water. Also, under the correct conditions even liquid water can be piled.

Wow, what a terrific story! This was so well written and moving. Both Chrysalis and Hayseed seemed true to their characters all the way through. Yeah, I was able to recognize the male character even though you didn't name him. You did a great job in your imagery, your pacing, and your description. I would definitely recommend this story to others to read. And this is by far one of the better Chrysalis stories out there.
