Your story has potential, but you might want to get an editor. They may be able help with this story. Specifically, your lack of cohesion and flow. With the right backstory, you wouldn't have a problem with the OOC problem. I have an idea for that, but it doesn't make very much sense so I doubt you'd be interested. Then again, if you don't like my advice you could ignore it. I wouldn't mind.
