This fic lacks one thing: an explanation of how the Dawn-Bringer turned evil. It doesn't make any sense.

Other than that, the story is good.

Beautiful... absolutely beautiful. This nearly brought tears to my eyes, and for once, I did not hate Blueblood. (That is an accomplishment in and of itself.) Well worded, not rushed, with very few, if any, grammatical errors. The concept was lovely, and the execution was sound. I applaud you on your beautiful, heartbreaking story.

I am in agreement with Spoiler Alert. While otherwise a grand piece, that particular part depicts this as yet another of the 'bash Celestia' bandwagon. Sorry. Just like with "The Truth", I can't accept that a character is twisted into something she's implied and perhaps even demonstrated to not be.

The piece is quite short, and you are correct that there is a lack of backstory and explanation about the origins of the Dawn-bringer, the Bright Lady, She Who Comes With The Burning Sun, the Dread Princess, etc. To be perfectly clear, this is not a piece saying that Celestia, after the return of Luna, became evil. Rather, it is a piece intended to take Luna's rebellion and banishment and swap it with Celestia's.

I wanted to explore a very alternate universe. A noble Blueblood, a singular Queen, and a more violent return. I am, to be perfectly clear, not saying that this is the case in the show's canon.

I wasn't saying this story was bashing Celestia, or twisting canon Celestia, I was saying the story didn't explain Celestia.

If you had some explanation of why she was evil, I would have bought it. But there isn't. She's just some evil pony who shows up and does evil, and dies.

It's exactly why I don't like Sombra.
