Works in Progress · 4:49am Nov 9th, 2020

My works currently in progress:

  1. Non Nobis Domine, second last 'real' chapter. Hopefully done within the next week or so.
  2. Untitled Slice of Life, semi-sequel to 'Servant in the Dark'.
  3. Planning stage of sequel to NND: Working Title 'Reprobates'.

Ideas currently percolating

  1. Siege of Canterlot and the Great Retreat, looking at Nightmare Moon and her failed rebellion.
  2. Aristotelian critique of 'The Eagle and the Squirrel'

What To Even Call This Blog Post · 8:06am Oct 12th, 2015

Man, I am writing this under probably the second-least most-conducive mental condition: having just written another short story.

So, what's news:

Unexpurgated Rambling (perpendat itaque lector cave) · 1:41am Oct 25th, 2014

I find it fitting to elaborate on a few things which have been raised with me for some time. Notably, these are my depictions of characters in my FiMfics. I do not need to defend myself to anyone, yet I will explain myself so that people may understand.

Reading FiM Fics · 12:10am Jul 2nd, 2013

If you haven't noticed, I don't read many FiM fics.

I don't watch the show, either.

I haven't seen Equestria Girls.

I haven't seen Season 3.

Now, some of you may ask (and rightly so) "How can you write fanfics about a universe you don't know anything about?"

But out of the chaos, there shined three lights.

One called itself the Sun, and said that it perceived a great and empty world, with all that it saw under its domain, and so it was.

One called itself the Moon, and said that it perceived a world full of life and creatures and plants of every description, with all that breathed under its protection, and so it was.

"Let's call this one ++INCIDENT DELTA++..." · 11:10am Dec 23rd, 2012

Blog post number 2.

You're only getting this one because I just won Rome: Total War as Armenia, so be thankful! :P

What is in a name, and how does it influence a reader's perception?

I'm going to start off by assuming three 'types' of names. If you can come up with any others, please, do post in the comments below. It's nice to know someone other than me reads these things.

Story-writing and myself. · 11:17am Dec 20th, 2012

Well, decided to take the plunge and write a blog post. I've usually been opposed to this in the past - I don't like being self-indulgent in writing.

But... Well, I've run into a little problem, and it's occurred time and again.

Stories.

Interesting little things, aren't they? They're different, but they use the same words, same tropes, same 'rules'.
