This story is a one shot that I wrote for one of my patrons on Patreon by the name of Cylestea! One of my rewards is that I will write a one-shot about whatever you want to see (within reasonable limits).
The prompt was about the character of Princess Serenity, who judges the souls of the dead to rest eternally in the Summer Lands, or burn forever in Tartarus.

Unfortunately, two rounds of the same prereader mixed with criticism that would be akin to something you would see at the paid publication worthy level means you won't be seeing this on EQD any time soon.
I'm not too salty about it, but I am slightly upset because I've seen works that are mechanically worse than this posted to EQD. It's sad that you practically have to be a world class writer to have fan fiction published of all things.
Nice story, plenty of questions asked, but no answers. Unless there in the sequel.

Funny I got the sequel saved on phone and I still haven't gotten to it.
The misplaced forgiveness of the obviously evil Generous Soul at the end nerfed a lot of the enjoyment that I was getting out of this and really cheapened the whole purpose of an afterlife haven. Nevertheless, this storyline is incredibly interesting and the rest of the story was very solidly written and exciting. I love finding original ideas in the form of hidden gems like this and will pick up the sequel eventually.
