One more thing I have to say is "Aww, you had this take place after the events of The Nightmare Before Christmas?" I was hoping it would be more like Kingdom Hearts, where they enter the other characters' world and have their own adventure that is similar to the one from the actual movie but is not exactly the same and leaves one to assume that in this interpretation the events of the actual movie had never actually happened as they had. I was looking forward to seeing how the ponies would react to and face-off against Oogie Boogie. I assume you do intend to introduce some new villain to fill in for Oogie, but it just doesn't seem like it'll be the same without him.

The only thing stopping me from giving this a full mark is because Rarity says “crime against fashion” instead of "crime against FABULOSITY".

It cracked me up how when Zecora entered the scene, my mind started reading the text in her voice as soon as I noticed the rhyme.

I got all the doors on Skellington's side except the red shield.  I couldn't think of what Hub show that is unles it's GI Joe, but I don't recognize that symbol.

There's (at least) two sets of doors - one in Equestria, one in Halloween Town.

Well, the MLP door in Halloween Town is part of a circle of Hub shows - Pound Puppies, G.I. Joe, MLP and such.

And yes, the doors in Everfree are Touchstone-based, hence the Nightmare Before Christmas door. There may well

be other clearings linking up with other production companies, channels, holidays, or whatnot.

This fic just made my all-time top three. I honestly can't say what I love about it the most: Evil Rarity, Adventurer Twilight, the song or the angry mob running Zecora and Luna out of Ponyville.

Can't wait to see how it ends.

Okay. Rarity's gone stark raving loony. Dash, I'm not sure about but it's probably a bad thing that HER COSTUME IS A FREAKING SHADOWBOLT. Twilight, due to having dressed as a specific person instead of just a generic monster, is having her personality overridden. Everyone in Halloweentown is having a sudden bout of terminal stupidity, not even pausing to wonder where the heck Jack is, and the Hanging Tree is flirting with Fluttershy, which beyond all reason actually manages to sound even MORE idiotic written down. Oh, and also, AJ's a scarecrow and Pinkie's a chicken.

And Luna and Zecora lie terribly, despite the fact that it's almost certain the ponies would have understood if they'd told them Rarity was in trouble. Really, this story is almost painful to read.

Does this mean I'm disappointed? Maybe a little. Am I going to stop reading? NO. This is MLP and Nightmare before Christmas, and a combination like that is either really good or really, really bad. Keep up the good work, just try to explain things a little more.

Brilliant work here, just like your other works. The highlight was definitely the remake of the "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" song. It was really fun to sing along with it in my head.

It seems costumes overcome pony senses in this world. The horror!

I should point out, though, that even in the film the Halloween Town residents are stunningly easy

to sway - they overturn their whole way of life and agree to take over Christmas with little more than

a brief overview by Jack. Now, I'll grant that he is one charismatic motherbucker, but STILL.

Similarly, both Zecora and Luna have reason to be leery about depending on the good natures

of the folks in Ponyville - ESPECIALLY if they tried to explain that the Elements of Harmony

were in another world and Nightmare Night had to continue indefinitely. *cue angry mob anyway*

Do stay turned for the finale, though - I don't want to spoil, but there is more going on than there

appears to be...

Dude, I haven't even read any of it, but I know it's gonna rock if the opening rhyme is any indication.

Having read it now, allow me to say: yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes!

I honestly expected Rarity to go nuts improving Sally's raiment and/or casing (I'd say, like Oogie and his bugs, Sally's personality is carried in her stuffing), rather than just going nuts in general. And yeah, the Shadowbolts don't have any kind of canon behaviour except an "us or them, not both"-type attitude, so I have no idea how Dashie was affected.

This is excellent! The song seemed a bit forced but apart from that I really like what you've done with the concept.

So...does this technically mean Rarity is the villain now, stealing Halloween from Jack (An antithesis to him stealing Christmas from Santa, I preusme.) It will be the most FABULOUS Halloween ever.

A bit of an abrupt ending, but considering Halloween is long past, I won't hold it against you. It was an enjoyable story.

This is far and away one of the funniest MLP crossovers I've seen.  I loved seeing Rarity embrace her inner nightmare and become the Queen of Nightmare Night, along with Shadowbolt Dash; and that scene with Fluttertree and the Halloween tree trying to fondle her leaves was hilarious.

I really enjoyed this story! If you are thinking about making a sequel... rather than just having Jacky visit ponyville, perhaps the other portals could be used to create a more complex setup...., Jack visiting ponyville just doesn't give enaugh room for an interesting story imo... then again there is storys out there that do a LOT with a few small ideas.

I am actually liking the setup that you created for this story so much that I would do it myself.. but english isn't my first language and i don't have a lot of experience with writing so i don't think it's a good idea...

I cannot believe how much fun this story was too read! it feels like a combination of KH and MLP with a happy (and surprisingly NOT epic-adventure) tone, which considering you invoked Halloween Town and Nightmare Night at the same time... this was just made of pure win. Pleaseeeeee make a sequel to this, maybe make your own crossover system using the doors?

On another note, why does this make me think of a director's cut video? if the MLP devo crew wanted too... this could legitimately do this as a pocket movie, or a collector's edition or something. Thank heavens no one dressed up as a Balrog when they went to Halloween town... and I must say, it was nice that Sally got some touchups.
