The Mane 6 find themselves joining Duel Academy, after being taken to the human world. Twilight is trying to find a way back home, Rainbow is rivaling with Chazz, Applejack is worrying about the farm back home, Rarity is fawning over her Gemini deck, Pinkie is dueling everyone for fun, and Fluttershy is scared of dueling since she thinks the point of the game is to kill digital pets.
(Note: This series is supposed to start in the middle part of season one of GX (after the School Duel) and the end of season 4 of MLP.)

I love Yu-Gi-Oh, and it iss o hard to find a cross-over fanfic with it and MLP. I can tell this has a lot of potential behind it. ^^ As for deck ideas, I would think using a Blackwing deck for Rainbow Dash, a Warrior or Beast-Warrior deck for Appeljack, and perhaps a more randomly assembled deck for Pinkie that works for her in a way that only she could make it work, with her being Pinkie. X3 I would say toon, but I know that in canon only Pegasus has that series. And I would love to suggest an OC to you:

I feel the story is a bit rushed. Their leaving their world, entering a new world, and interacting with the locals should be a bit lengthier.
The dialogue feels a bit stiff, and is also slightly rushed.
My interest is slightly perked. I'm watching where this shall lead.

Not even adding their tails, and pony ears would make it anthro. It would still be a sup type of humanized called umamimi, which is the pony version of a catgirl/nekomimi.
