Yugi has grown tired of Kaiba's attitude towards him and his friends. It is time to show him the true meaning and power of friendship, and what better way to do that than by beating him in a duel using cards that are pretty much fuelled by friendship.
Some of you will have read my OTHER Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfic and this is a formal apology. It was an attrocity that I never should have even started. I felt I owed you a proper fanfic to show that I can actually have original ideas so here it is. I hope you enjoy it more than the last one.

Hoped someone would like the pony based cards. Some of them actually have the same qualities as real cards (Lyra Heartstrings has the same ATK and DEF as Spirit of the Harp). I might write another Yu-Gi-Oh based story, but they are really hard to do because you have to constantly keep track of who has face down cards and what the life points are, but I'm glad you liked

Here's the problem I had: none of the monsters except Pinkie and the duo of Cadence and Shining Armor together had abilities. Also, I really wanted to see the mane six in battle, seeing each of their abilities. It was just too short for my tastes.

You're right, it is a lot shorter than I normally do. If you have ever read my actual Yu-Gi-Oh! Fanfic (yugioh eternity), then you know that I do normally write longer stories. I was also going to have the name six actually used in the duel, but I wanted them to be like the Ojama trio. I agree that the duel needs to be longer and I will probably edit this one to make it longer, or make a rematch story. The reason it is so short its that about half way through it became a core to complete, I just wanted it finished. When I live my work, I can keep it going for weeks if needs be, but this one was not a labour of love at all. But your comment has been duly noted and I thank you for the card ideas. If I do retry this (and I probably will) I will probably use those cards. Thankyou.
653950 Well the only thing wrong with the Mane Six cards is Pinkie Pie's ability is already explained in the fanfic as "This card cannot be destroyed by a monster with 1900 or less attack points."
Also you might want to see if you can either make a card with Pinkie's galla dress or have the rest of the Mane Six cards also be without their gala dresses.
And I don't excatly think water is the right element for Pinkie Pie, Earth or Light would be a better attribute.

Personally, I wouldn't mind going up against Yugi if he were using that pony deck. All you'd really have to do is lockdown spell cards and the deck is near defenseless. That's the problem with decks that rely on monsters, or spells, or traps. Just get one of the many cards that locks those types down and the duel is essentially in the bag.

3252519 True. If I were to go against him, the closest I would get to a fair fight would be normal Yugi, without the Millennium Puzzle, because the Puzzle can manipulate destiny to a degree.
Yugi's pony deck seems strangely similar to Jaden's elemental hero strategy from GX season 1, which at times seemed to rely almost completely on deus ex machina cards, or 'plot device' cards! Yugi would know better than to build a deck that is based entirely around drawing the right card every time (lol). That said, There's only been 4 or 5 bad draws in the entire yugioh anime franchise, and Yugi is extremely lucky anyway
