This was a cute chapter Especially how AJ got rail roaded into going into town with Galen
Sorry AJ, Please don't hurt me!
I'm surprised that Fluttershy didn't go into more depth on the residents of the Everfree- or alternatively, have some sort of literature to give him- there's plenty more dangerous in there than Manticores- Cragadiles and Timber Wolves, and Poison Joak for example, as well as peaceful residents such as Zecora and Stephen Magnet that he'd want to be warned to not accidentally shoot.

I had something planned for that Glad you noticed her forgetfulness. She would have forgotten to mention those tidbits of information in her half dazed state, only really responding to Galen's question because he specifically asked her about it because hey, it's not everyday you can hunt a living legend. As for the Timber Wolves, Rainbow only mentioned it to him the once, way back in chapter three and he wasn't in any state of mind to take in the whole "made of animated tree limbs" bit. As far as Cragadiles go, the approved hunting grounds are placed well away from their territory. As for the non-lethal stuff... well... one would want to avoid a massive river serpent in the first place, a good dose of poison joke could do him well to teach him a new sense respect for the woods in magical worlds and Zecora would not phase him in the least since he know what a hedge witch/herbalist is and dealt with one on occasion back in his home town. (They lived in a complete village setting with everything from a tanner (which is a heinously smelly profession) to a carpenter to an apothecary which was the resident hedge witch. She had an odd sense of humor and tried her best to pull off the creepy and fear inspiring stereotype which always backfired on her because she was pretty cute and a bit ditzy. She never botched a remedy though.)

It definitely makes a difference that I don't have so much going on now as well and can devote several hours to not only development, but writing and editing as well
Man, now you're just tormenting me. Can't wait for the next chapter.
No, really. MORE!
