First of all, you have successfully made yourself look like a monumental moron by making the ignorant claim that the author's opinion "is invalid" and calling them "stupid". How immature and narrow-minded of you. You may think Flutterdash is the best ship, but that's not a fact, just an opinion, and I won't try to claim that your opinion is invalid.
Secondly, Fluttershy and RD may have known eachother for longer, but that's not the only factor in relationships. RD and Fluttershy are pretty much polar opposites in terms of personality (Fluttershy being, well, shy, and quiet, whereas RD is outgoing, tough and loud), making it a pretty odd ship in my opinion. AJ and RD and more alike in terms of personality (and interests I'd guess). So actually, Appledash makes much more sense than Flutterdash. But again, that's my opinion, and you're entitled to yours, so let's leave it there.
