It has been 6 years since the Humans came to Equestria.
Six long years of war between the Humans and the Equestrians. The equestrians only just making it through with their superior magic hold them off. However the Humans are back and this time with a full invasion force.
Staff Sergeant Kyle Shepard is now on mission to recon the surrounding area for the invasion force. However a drastic chain of events will open Kyle's eyes at to all wrongdoing his people have done. With that he swears to put an end to all this bloodshed, even if it costs him his life.

4645561 No no nooooooo! Definatly not! No Kyle will switch sides but also attempt to destroy the HSA by turning its own invasion forces against its fleet. Which will end up in a very big explosion to say the least. Plus note, no one certainly no one is turning into a pony. Something like that is well biologically impossible. I do see what you mean about it being similar to avatar. However there is a few differences especially the grim ending, looking at my plot notes there are a few changes I can make to avoid being a copy cat. They move at speed of 70% of light
The fast spacecraft today moves at 44704 meters per second ( New Horizons)
So Equestria is 19,160.5 year away

4755752 Sorry I took this down had a bad day was a little unstable. Manned up now. Anyway I may say yes you are right. But here Magic has its advantages plus since the first crusade Equestria increased its military presence and trained ponies in defensive spells. That will be explained later. I know this story at this moment in time is confusing but persevere all will be reviled. Even with bad grammar.
As to why they are fighting I'll give you a hint... land. That will also be explained later on in the story.
