All in all, not bad. Bravo on getting the technical aspects right, and bonus points on calling it a magazine and not a clip.
Only two things I'd point out are minor.
1. Most gun cleaners don't really smell acrid. Pungent would probably be the one that comes to mind to me as they are ammonia based usually. Plus, the smell of Hoppes #9 is kind of relaxing after all the years I've been around it.
2. Really minor, but the proper way to designate an AR is the AR-15, not spelled out fifteen. I know it feels weird when you are used to writing out numbers for stories, but calibers and firearm types are usually the numeric. Again, minor thing.
Overall, keep up the good work.

I am a sporting shooter myself and Hoppes #9 is the best smell, along with double F G black powder
. I was basing the smell off a more tougher bore cleaner that I have switched over to recently, Boretech Eliminator.

The speed that he fires some of the weapons at and with the accuracy is amazing, the 6 target sweep he did with the Barret 50 cal was awesome.

Not bad, but too much of "take the key, open locker, take item out, close locker, pocket the hey" etc.. I don't know how it's called in narrative, but there's too much of it. Change that and it'll be pretty good.
