My Little Halloween Special!
After hearing a rumor about a ghost town and a very special game of tag, Twist and several other kids disappear. The Cutie Mark Crusaders follow the rumor to rescue them, but discover that some rumors may be real.
Crossover with Kakurenbo: Hide & Seek
Oh yes. Nothing gets me more excited than the death and torture of marshmallow ponies and the ruination of a whole universe based on some game that is meant to be a nihilist's masturbatory fantasy. Isn't it all so beautiful?
So well written. So well crafted. So worthy of being spit on for it's ugliness.
Ha ha ha. Wow! You actually want more? Based on these comments so far, I'm kind of getting the feeling that most readers aren't reading into the metaphorical ending. 
Even if I did write more, it would still pretty much be the same situation. Then again, the ability to fly and use magic would come into play... 
Hmm... I really didn't plan on continuing this particular project (since it is complete) nor did I plan on writing a sequal. I don't know, if responses are really this positive, I may have to do another horror fic next Halloween. Different subject matter though. 
By the way, I actually don't hate Twist. It was just convienient for the plot.
I was a bit nervous about reading this after I read the preview on EQD and realized it was based on Kakurenbo. I still remember watching the movie as a kid and having it scare me shitless. Thanks for making a great crossover fic that takes the original and adds a wonderful twist to it.
To be honest, I didn't get why you named it Bronyville until the ending. Instead of human batteries, the ponies are being used to fuel brony fandom, genius! I loved your choice of monsters. (The Walker reminded me of Pyramid head for some reason, go figure.) And, except for the spider demon and demon leader that I remember being in the movie, they were different from the film but just as scary.
Great work, and thank you for making me relive such a hauntingly memorable film all over again with my latest fandom.
Um... I didn't say I was actually going to do another part. In fact, I get the feeling that the magic that prevents players from leaving would stop flying too somehow, and that the monsters are immune to magic or something. Anyway, since I feel a little bad for doing this to the CMC and friends, I'm kinda sworn off horror for the moment. This is the first horror fic I've ever written in fact. Normally, I do comedies.
Don't hate me, but I think some of them deserved it. Whether it for their stupidity & ignorance, (sweetie belle[even though she is adorable] ,snips and snails) or just bitches,(scootaloo, diamond tiara, silver spoon). Twist deserved it for being too damn Twist.

@GW: You ought to write the Cube series next. Also, was the bit mentioned in oegiap's comment the "metaphorical ending"? I got that, when I read it. It was mildly amusing... lightheartedness in a horrorfic!? 
That said, the first few times I read "Bronyville," I groaned and facehoofed and clawed at my eyes and tore at my hair and had to get up and walk away, only to come back, start reading, and see it again.
I'm glad there was at least a reason for that horrible, horrible name... ugh. Mostly males... Bronyville.
Wow! THIS is a great horror fic! 
It was suspenseful, it was scary, and very well planned out and very well written! Looks like the Main 6 are stuck in the game now(I don't think they will go down so easily, but I digress). I can't wait to see what other horror fics you may have planned for the future. 
Well, October is pretty close and I have a big project planned that I've been working on since January. If all goes according to plan then my next big horror type fic will be released all throughout that month. I'm not sure it's quite as scary as Onigokko, but it certainly has the creepy feel.
I really hate it when AMAZING fanfics like this barely get any views or ratings. You deserve them! 
P.S Please tell me what this is based on! I love scary stuff!
I 'd at the name "Bronyville", but I'll be damned if this story didn't creep me out. You managed to capture the mood of 'Kakurenbo' very very well, and I also detected a slight 'Silent Hill' influence as well which, after reading that Pyramid Head inspired the "Walker", was apparently quite intentional.

As it happens, EqD is doing a horror fic contest right now, and I am going to try to right something for it, which should be up before Oct. 24th, so... there is that. Actually Onigokko is a standard that I'm worried about living up too. For me at least, it seems a bit difficult to top.

Yes! Absolutely. You hit it right on the head. And yes, the Walker was partly inspired by Pyramid Head so double points!
