Blazer

Blazer is a fanfic author who talks about himself in the third person. What a snob!

Rarity awakens to find herself in unfamiliar surroundings. Wherever she is, however, definitely isn't home.

And her only hope to return there lies with a man clad entirely in black iron armor.

It's well written and has good paced. Rarity is perfectly in character, void of any of her stereotypes. Although I had to wiki Black Iron Tarkus in which told me what happened to him. Unfortunate. So are we going to follow him up until that point or are we going to get picked up by the Chosen Undead, OR are we making our own spin off?

You don't see a lot of Dark Souls Crossovers, I've personally seen three good ones. (including this) Favorited, liked and followed. Keep it up.

Dark souls? Shit son, I'm all over dat! :pinkiehappy:

PRAISE THE SUNBUTT

Very good start, although, I have one question... Considering that the bonfire was inactive when Rarity got there, The Firekeeper maiden underneath must have been assassinated by Lutrec, right?

4203509 The bonfire was inactive because no one had lit it yet. As far as I'm concerned, Lautrec is chilling in his cell.

4203531 Again, that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. Yes, bonfires normally need to be activated first, but bonfires with Firekeepers, such as the one in Firelink Shrine, near the start of Anor Londo from the agent of the Darkmoon Blade watching over it, and after the bell in Blighttown with Quelaan the Chaos sister watching over, are all already active when the player arrives.

4203567 Yes, they're active. The fact that they aren't lit is my point. Maybe there's some dying embers or something on an undiscovered bonfire; that is what I think you're getting at.

Anyways, I checked it out in-game, and I couldn't really tell the difference between an unlit bonfire and a bonfire w/o its Fire Keeper other than some very hard-to-see embers at the base of the sword.

4204997 I don't know about you, though, but there is a distinct difference between Bonfires, and Firekeeper Bonfires. Normal Bonfires require the player to light the flame before they can have a seat and set their spawn point. A Firekeeper Bonfire never needs to be lit, unless the Firekeeper themselves have perished for one reason or another. You just walk up and sit down as if you're approaching a bonfire you previously lit. I've recently been going through my second run in the game with a new character. And so far, after encountering both the Firelink Shrine Bonfire and the Bonfire of the Chaos Sister, neither of them needed me to have them lit.

From a story perspective in game, always remember this. Firekeepers keep the bonfires lit. That's their purpose.

In any case, this really is the only discrepancy in your story, and otherwise the rest of it is pretty much a fantastic start, and I do hope to read more of it later.

4208475 Okay. Played up to the first bonfire and I'm a dumbass.

Fixed it.

And of course Sen's Fortress will be closed, because I'm sure that the bells only open the door for so long...

4210165 Ok. Can't wait to read more, though. :pinkiehappy:

There also aren't a lot of good Dark Souls crossovers out there,

Well, actually I like PonySlayer's Dark Souls crossover, and Applejack in Lordran was pretty good, Even Grossly Incandescent was Awesome. There, 3 good crossovers. Get Readin. :rainbowhuh:

4212389 What can I say? I'm very finicky about fics.

Also, Grossly Incandescent is the one that's linked up there.

4215460 Ahh, well I didn't click on it, sorry about that one.

Verywell written and thee story is superb,i can't wait for the next update.

what about his death though? and also i think he should be shown placing his summon sigil at the iron golem fight.
i think i will enjoy this.

Finally! Iron Tarkus gets some fame! He was the best npc fighter in the game, I hope you will do well with this story.

Ah, an update! *rubs hands together*

Well didn't expect this to appear in my favorites again, been quite a while since the last one. Still good chapter to say the least, though now that I think about Flutters being in this world I have a feeling she might be near or with Sif. I could see her becoming friends with the wolf or the like, obviously she wouldn't be traveling either since Sif wouldn't leave but given Flutter's disposition I could see her more willing to stay in one place. More so if Luna was to advise her to not venture about, the world is not a good place for a kind soul like Fluttershy to say the least.

Either way hopefully won't be such a long wait for the next one, keep up the good work.

Discord's just bitter because Tarkus is better at the game than him.

Hah, Discord took the form of a Sunbro phantom...
That's a small nod to who got him there.

Possible. It's also completely possible that she has somehow found herself keeping the Pale Lady company. Kindred spirits finding each other after all.

Yes!! I've been waiting for an update to this fic!

Calling it now, Twilight is out there nerding it up with Griggs of Vinheim while Applejack and Logan discuss practical headwear.

5063424 Fluttershy and maybe the way of white? Pinkie and Solaire talking about the sun...

Calling it now. Fluttershy is a member of the Chaos Covenant, what with Queelag's sister taking the suffering of others upon herself. The ultimate kindness.

Just imagining Fluttershy zipping about Blighttown, yelping and screeching as the ogres throw boulders at her and those huge mosquito's come for her. And of course...those double-damned poison guys. Argh!

Update soon!

Cheers
GM

Twi's brobably stuck in the Oolacil township, most likely in the sanctuary guarden, right after the sanctuary guardians. needs a cured Artorias.

An update? Praise the sun! \[+]/

Looking good, strangely i was never notified of the update.

It's great to know this fic is still being updated.
