Having been left behind on the moon, they looked for a way to follow their mother to Earth with their fellow siblings and when they found the means to get there, something doesn't go according to plans. 4398360 I'm not sure what you mean. If you are implying that you believe that she was literally imprisoned in the moon, then that's just your point of view. My point of view on Luna's banishment was that she was stranded on the moon with no immediate means of escape. Sure, the mare on the moon disappeared upon the return of Nightmare Moon but that could just be the dark magic ravaging the moons landscape during Luna's stay there.
