Very nicely done. I love stories like this where there is no world ending catastrophe but you still find it easy to attach yourself to the characters because of the great characters. Five hundred points for the lovely character interaction. Derpy gets kudos for not striking back at the bullies, a kudos for the apple muffins(they sound delightful), and a Kudos for being my favorite kind of Derpy(smart, kind, and thoughtful) Turner also gets two kudos for the outstandingly nice things he said to Derpy about her cutiemark and eyes.
