Prolegomena, or the beginning of all metaphysics; a plane where nothing certain can be stated, thought, or conceived. Canterlot has fallen. Twilight, along with some of her friends, has been exiled. Can they make sense of the madness that has befallen Equestria before it's too late?

Entry to Exiled Twilight Contest.

Funny how none of them thought that maybe Drought Tear was the one who made the barrier to seal the darkness in the first place.

The cruel part of my mind can't wait to see them all once they figure out Twilight killed and INNOCENT pony.

Hey, I have a reader! Awesome.

Indeed, it appears that the real reckoning is just around the corner...

4341368 Of course you have a reader. ^^ This is a good story. I can't wait to see more of this and where it is headed.

Another interesting chapter. I suppose that it is the Shadows that are using his body as a tool. Without the shade of the trees, and no true means for the shadows to stay connected, their grip would either be revealed, or they would wither in the light.

Excellent work as always. ^^

Will Rainbow Dash be beating anybody up in this story?

4468419 I don't know, it depends. Is that somehting you'd wish to read about or something you're afraid to witness? Let me know and I'll adjust the story accordingly.

4469986 It is something that I'd like to read about, but you don't have to do it if you don't want to.

Well!
Calling this an intriguing premise is a huge understatement, and you've got a way with hooking one into waiting for what comes next. One the other hand, it feels a little difficult to fully empathize with the Mane, um, Four when it's clear we don't know all they know (i.e.what they found at the Pantheia HQ and in particular what convinced them against all protest that Draught Tear in particular was an equine Mengele, especially considering it didn't actually enlighten them to the true nature of the entity that took over Canterlot). Also I'm not sure what the overarching prolegomena theme is here, or how it ties into that in-joke Shining and Cadance seem to have- and where is Spike? Was he changed too? Otherwise, though, everything is surprisingly clear enough.

4775161 That last line of yours tells volumes of this fic: "Everything is suprisingly clear enough." To tell the truth, I myself don't have that much clearer of a picture of this fic than when I started writing. All I had then was the scene at hoof, and perhaps how it might tie into the second one. The whole story is another experiment of mine, really, a testground for a beginner writer. Naturally, the whole of it will be somewhat tentative. This is why the quote above is something I consider as a praise, no joke. Nonetheless, I will do everyhting in my power to finish this with honor, both for my own and my readers' sake.

Oh, and Spike is doing fine, I can tell that much.

What the f***:rainbowhuh::raritydespair: what huh
