Five years passed by quickly. Twilight's foal was born, Cadence passed her torch to another so she could support Twilight in Canterlot, and Luna watched it all go by with a sad gaze.

Five years have passed, and the Night Goddess finds herself in a position that she had waited long for. Death.

And if so where were they during this? And since Spike is a dragon dosen't that mean that he is still alive due to their long life spans?

Yes, the mane six do have descendants, but Twilight chooses to distance herself from them for the fact that they would bring back painful memories of the ones she lost. As for Spike, his ageing process was set into wack because of Twilight over doing the magic he was exposed to. I have not yet explained it, but Spike lived probably about 20 years, a good few years after S4. The causes concerning his death will be explained if I ever get to writing Twilight's death.

In fact instead of cutting his life short it would instead greatly increase his life to the point that he might live for a million years.
