I'll have to say, after reading "first hearts and hoofs" (don't waste your time with it, you'll want to stab your eyes out) I got a tad skeptical over the whole ButtonBelle ship. However, finding that this story doesn't end with a make-out session after the first chapter, I have to say that I enjoy this. You have earned both a favorite and a follower.
The one flaw I could find: Scootaloo did not punch DT in the face. That is all.
You know what? I'm going to follow this, because why not, and also, it takes guts to jump off the deep end with your first fanfic. Go you! I do have some proofreading tips on the first chapter, if you'd like, but I couldn't promise to keep doing them.
It's a tough line you're walking, since Buttons is a crybaby, but at the same time he has to not be a total Woobie. He's kind of also an insensitive jerk in the nicest possible way, so maybe that's a way of playing it up? Your choice.
I'll be interested to see how you work up to ButtonBelle, if that's where you're going.
4032185 Hm yeah, it's going to be hard to keep Button's personality consistent in the next chapters. And as for the proofreading, I originally had an edited version of this with tips from my proofreaders, but I derped and didn't save it properly. Next chapter will be better, grammar/mistake wise I guarantee.

a. Button isn't a jerk. Very competitive and arrogant, but not a jerk.
