The characterization seems a bit off here. Twilight may be the Princess of Friendship, but Spike has always been the more outgoing and social of the pair. It seems odd to to call him shy or say he doesn't have any friends in Ponyville.
You've got some really anachronistic things going on here. By broadcast order, Spike met Apple Bloom in Bridle Gossip - before the Crusaders were even formed and well before they refurbished the clubhouse. And the CMC's zipline attempt happened even later during The Cutie Mark Chronicles. If you're assuming the episodes air out of order, you really need to give us some clues about the order in which things happened in your story.

4439123 I do, and it's not just in SoME. In season one, Spike was planning to attend Moondancer's party, knows Hoity Toity pretty well, and visits Canterlot alone for "royal business". The overall impression is that Spike, unlike Twilight, actually has friends in Canterlot.

Like... Really? This mare walks into the room carrying the corpse of another dragon with the intent to carve it open and use it's organs... and Spike gleefully accepts the gems and smiles. Even before that, she insinuated that she considered doing the exact same thing to Spike!
I don't know what yor headcanon is about the relationship between ponies and dragons, but good god, does Celestia know about this?! Do the rest of the Mane Six know there is a shop in town that uses the harvested organs of sapient creatures to fuel its furnace?!

I may need to clarify some things: I wrote the stories as they came to me, with little to no regard to order. Secondly, When I meant "friends" in the first chapter, I meant friends all his own, ones that he didn't know purely through his other friends.
