JusSonic

Hey folks. JusSonic here, finally sending fics here. While I was worried about coming here for some time now, I decided to give this place a shot...as long as you be fair, 'kay?

See how it all begins (sort of). See how Momeresque (Cheerilee) lost her mind, how Dasheresque's (Rainbow Dash) rivalry with Lucille (Rarity) begins and how our heroine got into more trouble and more.

I'm sorry, but you have to be really, really good at writing to write something deliberately bad and end up with something people want to read. This isn't it.

Eh, who cares? This is based on Strong Bad's films in the Homestar Runner franchise.. It isn't supposed to make sense.

This is the prequel of a film series based on the ones that Strong Bad did in the Homestar Runner franchise. If it's confusing, then that's the whole idea: amateur filmmaking at its best (or worst, take your pick).

It's not a movie per say. It's kinda a fic within a fic (you know a film within a film kinda deal). In this, Rainbow and her friends posed in roles in the film itself.

I get that the film being made is bad, and that's suppose to be the joke, but I think readers are more likely to be distracted by the very bad writing. Tense changing, typos, and really awkward dialogue galore. Really, you should at least take a look at this before you publish your work. Just saying.

Reading a parody of a bad movie can be an interesting thing. But that takes talent to pull off successfully. Personally I can't get past your childish writing. And I don't mean you write for children, I mean it's loaded with childish errors and faults.

You've got tenses that change from one sentence to another. Now it's in the present, and the next it's in the past then back to the present again but the scene has not changed. You've got poor dialogue which might be an attempt to recapture the style of Dangeresque but it's not working. It's like you understand that people are supposed to speak in a stilted manner and say things unnaturally but you don't know how to write properly in the first place so it comes out as just lame. You've got author asides in the form of parenthesis which should never be included in a story. And you've got lots of spelling mistakes.

It's just a mess. In the hands of a better writer this might have been a good idea. In your hands, not so much.

I know that this post is ancient but I feel the need to disagree. Confusing fics can do uber well if written correctly. Look at Asylum and Everything is Fine, they both are incredibly confusing, however they are both absolutely amazing!

In this case however, I don't feel that the author has quite mastered the art of confusion yet.:trixieshiftright::trixieshiftright::trixieshiftleft::trixieshiftleft:

Am I the only one to have known this was a Homestar parody without being told that it is?

Now I really want to see Dasheresque 1: Dasheresque...Two? really badly.
