A while after the events of "Rarity takes Manehattan," the other five have also gotten their keys (I know you know that spool of rainbow thread is a key) and opened the box. There didn't seem to be anything inside. They can't figure out what's up with that until a week later, when they start developing superpowers. That's when things get kind of strange.
Written for the EqD Writer's Training Ground #002. Comments are encouraged, because I want to know what people think and I don't expect many people to read this and thus be available to provide thoughts.

You wrote the first fanfiction that is about the containment of the box and it's a very good one!
The only thing I can criticize here is that the Tree of Harmony was willing to let Hope and Fear out of the box.
Fear is dangerous, so it throws up the question why he let the Mane Six release him either?
I understand why you haven't explained that in this story, but one of the Mane Six questioning it that he let them free Fear would make the fanfiction a bit rounder.
Maybe you could write a side story to explain the tree's intentions?
Aside from that, I'm a little bit disappointed that the final fight was only handled within a few sentences, after Rarity got up again, but since this is owed to the word limit, it's not a real critique point.
I will put that one in my favourites too, as it is the first fanfiction about the containment of the box.
And I really like the idea that they all got powerful, magical abilities so they can fight enemies for real from the box.
I see that happen in the show too.
Pretty good. Feels like the concept should have warranted a much longer story; but you set out to do a one-shot, and succeeded as much as possible when dealing with superpowers.
