Imprisonment, Interrogation, and Ingenious Plans...

[Fifteen minutes earlier]

Princess Celestia lead the combined forces of ponies through the Everfree forest, hunting down the deadly enemy which was hiding in there. She cautiously surveyed the area around her, looking for this 'human'. She had never met one in person before, but remembered the stories which her grandparents would tell her on Nightmare Night. The Royal Family, had of course kept the knowledge of humans as minimal as possible, but it had managed to leak out into general public. Luckily, they had managed to conceal it as a myth. Only members of the Royal Family, and the most trusted military officers were provided with the information, as the humans may figure out a way back through into Equus, so Equestria needed to be prepared.

All those years ago, when the humans did invade, the moment the humans fled through the portal in the centre of Apuris, her ancestors had blocked it off so that the humans would never return. However, they feared that the humans may eventually find a way to break back through, as they evolved incredibly fast, building a small settlement only a day after arriving on the island, and had become capable of picking out the fruits which weren't poisonous, finding the weaknesses of many of the species on the island, and had adapted to the cold temperature by creating fire, long before ponies found out how.

Humans were a dangerous and unpredictable force, and needed to be wiped out of Equus, before they reduced it ashes. Even Discord had taken a few days to reduce Equestria to complete Chaos, whilst the humans managed to do it in under two hours. She was convinced that even though the human had accidently found its way through to Equestria, it wouldn't be long before it took advantage of this, and invited fellow humans through. As soon as it found the entrance to the portal, Equus would be doomed.

She raised her voice and began giving orders. If they were going to save Equestria, this operation would have to be carried out extremely carefully. "Alright, we currently don't know what the human is capable of, but if the legends are anything to go on, we know it will be especially dangerous, easily the biggest threat Equestria has ever faced. Yes, I know what you're thinking. They are worse than Queen Chrysalis, they could invade and conquer a city ten times bigger than Canterlot, with half the infantry. They are worse than Sombra, they commit the most horrific acts, and as it says in the myths, were slaughtering each other, for the sake of it. And finally, they are worse than even Discord, they are creatures which live Chaos, rather than govern it. If we are going to manage this, we must capture and restrain the human whilst it is still disorientated from its inter dimensional journey. However, it may have already recovered, so don't expect it to be easier to restrain. It may even fake confusion, just to fool us. Prepare yourselves for everything. The moment you see it, attack it and knock it into an unconscious state. Then we can transport it to Canterlot dungeons."

The ponies looked uneasily at Celestia, they had never heard her speak so passionately and angrily before. Soon after Celestia had finished her speech, there was a rustling from the right side of the trees, and a strange bipedal creature stepped out. A few of the ponies looked at it in confusion, others in amusement at its peculiar body. However the majority just looked at it with pure hatred, and ran towards it at an incredible speed. It looked startled as it noticed the large advancement towards it, but turned and ran at a surprising speed for a creature with only two legs.

~~~~~
So, where was I? Oh yeah, I was being chased by an assortment of normal, and mythical horses through a forest. I didn't even bother to try and look at that situation in a logical way, as I was pretty sure that if I stopped to think about it, I was dead.
So I ran for my life, avoiding being trampled by horses. Just a typical day. As I reached the edge of the forest, or what looked like it, I started to approach a massive cave. Not a normal cave, a MASSIVE cave, the entrance was at least forty metres squared, but I decided that I might be able to lose the horses in there. I ran straight into the cave, and quickly glanced over my shoulder to see whether they were following. To my joy, they had stopped right in front of the cave, looking worried. I ran forward a bit more, just to make sure that they weren't following me. It seemed as if the cave ended fairly quickly though, although it seemed to shine in a peculiar way, as though I was looking out at the night sky. I decided to ignore that though and slumped down at the back of the cave.
As I caught my breath, I stopped breathing as heavily, yet I still heard loud breathing noises. I stopped breathing a second, to make sure that it was just me, but the breathing noises still continued, almost as if they were coming from the back of the wall. I nervously looked up at the cave wall again, and realised that it was moving back and forwards very slightly. I blinked in surprise, the wall was alive! I began to poke it in interest, and suddenly the wall started sliding back . I flinched back in shock, and fear began to creep back into my body again, as the wall slowly lifted itself into the toe of a massive paw. The paw moved back too, and the cave suddenly opened up into a massive cavern. I froze in horror as I realised what I had disturbed. I stared directly into the eyes of a absolutely enormous space bear. Well, I say space bear because it looked as though it was covered in stars. It was at least eighty metres tall, I didn't even know how it managed to fit into the cave. It stared straight back at me, in frustration as I had disturbed its slumber.
I slowly began to step backwards, as it stretched still recovering from its sleep. Eventually, it started to advance, one stride for it, worth at least ten of mine.
As it started to speed up, I began to walk faster, until it broke into a run and I turned and sprinted up towards the entrance of the cave. Just as I predicted, the bear was too tall to continue, but attempted to crawl the rest if the way. It made up at about halfway up, then got too wide for the cave, and had to turn back. Before it returned back to its lair, it glared at me threateningly giving out a very clear; 'I see you again, you're dead...' signal.
I breathed a sigh of relief, before realising that I had been surrounded by horses during my escape. I swore again, and I attempted to run, but I started to lose conscious, and fell into a deep sleep.
~~~~~

I woke up in a damp, cold cell. It appeared that I had been captured and put into a prison whilst I was unconscious. I began to feel an emotion between fear and confusion. I was confused of why the horse-things hadn't just killed me. They seemed violent enough, which is what I feared. Who knew how many other humans they had captured, after accidentally washing up on this island...

As I pondered my situation, footsteps interrupted my thoughts, as one of the horses came down the stairs with a bowl and plate, probably for feeding me. At least they had the decency to give me food, rather than let me starve. I now had a better view of the horses, as the other times I had seen them was whilst I was running for my life, and as I was being knocked unconscious. They looked, kind of wrong, almost unnatural. This one was a Pegasus, which I knew as I was an expert on my Greek mythology. It looked different from horses at home, yet seemed slightly similar too, it was very confusing.

For starters, it had a shorter muzzle, and had much wider eyes, which kind of made it look like a very realistic cartoon. This one was also different to horses back at home, as instead if being a shade of black, brown, or white, this one was luminous green. I'm not even joking! It was glowing luminous green, and also had a bright luminous purple mane.

Horses around here sure were strange. As it approached me, it looked slightly wary, as though I was going to attack it whilst it was delivering my food. As it put its hoof through the bars to place down the food, I reached out for it and the horse recoiled very quickly. It looked frightened and worried, as if I was some sort of monster...

It quickly climbed back up the stairs leaving me to sit in the darkness once again.

~~~~~
Princess Celestia looked up expectantly as Lime Light walked into her chambers.
"I have just delivered the food to the creature like you ordered, it appeared to be fairly aggressive, as it reached out for me as if it were going to attack me when I placed down its food." Lime Light reported.
"It's just as I feared..." Princess Celestia muttered. "Humans haven't changed one bit since they were last here..."
"What was that Your Majesty?" Lime Light asked.
"Nothing, just get our scientists to have a look at the creature." Princess Celestia ordered flatly.
"Very well." Lime Light walked out of her chambers, leaving the Princess to ponder how she was going to deal with the human once again.
~~~~~

Lime Light walked down through the castle corridors, heading towards the laboratories. The Princess seemed fairly grumpy today, maybe it had something to do with the monster...

Lime Light immediately stopped wondering. The Princesses problems are not of my concern he reassured himself. Just carry on following orders, like you have for the past ten years.

Nothing ever excited around Canterlot Castle, and when it did, those irritating 'Elements' saved the day before he could do anything. One day, the Elemets would lose, and it would be up to Lime Light to save the day.

Lime Light reached the labs, and stepped inside through the ajar steel door.

One of the ponies inside looked around, startled and spilled a substance of some sort on his lab coat. The burning on his lab coat led him to regain his concentration, and he walked up to Lime Light.

"Lime Light, haven't seen you in a while, still falling out of windows?" he greeted cheerfully.

Lime Light gritted his teeth, and replied "No, that was a one-time thing, but tell me, are you still poisoning mares for the sake of it?"

Now it was the other stallions turn to grit his teeth. "That wasn't on purpose, and you fully well know that," he said angrily. "I still think about her every day..."

"Too bad you decided to kill her off then," Lime Light replied smugly.

The stallion facing him fuming in rage, and ran at him, only to be stopped by his fellow scientists.

"What do you need to tell us this time, Lime Light?" one of them asked with a tired expression in their voice.

"Oh, I just wanted to tell you that the Princess wants you guys to look at this weird creature they captured a few days ago..." Lime Light replied. "Anyway, see you later geeks..."

Lime Light walked out of the room and headed for the bar.

~~~~~
I heard footsteps for the second time since I woke up, but this time they sounded like there were more than one of them. I watched on curiosity, and out of boredom to see what was going to come down the stairs this time...
I looked in surprise as about five horses, wrapped in lab coats walked down the stairs. What were these? Horse scientists? I chuckled at the idea, before realising that this place didn't make sense, so the horses in front of my could my horse scientists.
To my amazement, one of the horse started talking! I paused, my brain still trying to comprehend what was happening.
"Let the creature out of its cage temporarily so that we can observe its behaviour, we need to record this and get it to the Princess." one of them ordered.
One of the horses started to unlock my cell door, and I quickly formulated a plan. The horse opened the cell door , and I charged out, barging past it, the other horses looking startled before coming to their senses, and chasing after me.
I began to head towards the exit. Well what I hoped was the exit. Of course it helps if you know where you are and how you got there. Strangely, after a few strides down the third corridor, I began to glow with a strange blue outline. I glanced around nervously, and saw the same blue outline on the unicorn-horse's horn.
It was going to try and re-capture me with its magic! I panicked, but quickly came up with a solution. Maybe if it lost its concentration... I turned around to face my enemy, and it stopped and looked up at me with fear, as I was towering over it. That's another thing I forgot to mention, these animals were miniature. I guess that made them ponies. Apart from the horn and wings ones. They were the size of normal horses.
Anyway, the 'pony' looked up at me with terror, as if I was going to kill it. Well I guess they do treat me like some sort of monster. I decided to prove them wrong and reveal my intelligence with a typical human greeting.
"'Sup, how's it hanging?" I said.
It looked back at me, extremely confused. Well, I guess it did think that I was going to try and kill it or something. I heard one of the scientists behind it furiously scribbling whilst muttering "It appears to be trying to communicate with us..."
I seized the opportunity and turned and ran. The ponies just watched as I ran away, until I heard one of them sounding an alarm. Probably for some kind if military. I was right, as a few seconds later, a group of armour-clad ponies ran round from the end of the corridor. As I slowed down, I heard a sound from behind me and knew I was surrounded.
There was only one way out of this - distraction. I silently prayed to all those pony-gods out there that didn't want me dead that this would work. I will do anything for them if this works.
"We outnumber you easily. Just surrender now," I informed them.
As they looked around in confusion for the 'we' I silently congratulated myself, and reminded myself to thank the Gods.
I quickly charged at the group in front of me, and barged through the ponies like bowling pins. I glance around triumphantly, gloating at my victory over the ponies, that is until I hit a wall.
~~~~~

I woke up for the second time that day, feeling dazed and confused. I looked up and saw one of the horn and wings ponies looking down at me with disgust. I wonder I did to irritate it.

It noticed that I had woken up, and began to speak.

"WHAT ARE THOU INTENTIONS HERE, HUMAN?" it asked, as my ear drums exploded. Of course, they didn't actually explode, but it felt like it. Maybe it was going to take revenge on whatever I had done by making me go deaf.

It suddenly blushed sheepishly, and spoke in a MUCH better voice.

"I apologise, I am used to speaking in the Royal Canterlot Voice, it is traditional for us Alicorns to do so..." She said, which I realised from her tone of voice.

I decided to try and not make things any worse.

"It's alright, but what is an Alicorn?" I question.

"Oh, an Alicorn is a winged-unicorn, but Alicorns are usually only Royalty" She explained.

Well, now I knew what to call them.

"So, I assume you are royalty?" I ask.

"Oh, forgive me, I am Princess Luna, Goddess of the Night." She stated.

I looked at her, confused, before laughing my head off. Between bursts of laughter I managed to speak.

"No, - seriously -- who are - you?"

'Luna' frowned and spoke again.

"I told thee already, I am the Goddess of the Night."

I immediately stopped laughing and realised that she wasn't joking.

"Oh, sorry," I quickly apologise. "From where I'm from, stuff like this never happens. We don't have a Goddess of the Night."

Luna went from irritated to confused. "How can this be? Who raises the moon then?"

I returned her look of confusion.

"Er, nobody raises the moon..." I reply.

"Then why did you say that you didn't have a Goddess of the Night. From what you're telling me, this 'Nobody' you speak of has a certain amount of power over the night..."

I look at her confused again. "I don't know what you're talking about..."

"Uh, I'm supposed to be interrogating thee, who are thee?" She asked.

"Oh, I'm John Knox," I replied. "And as for my intentions, I would like to find out what the heck is going on."

Luna looked at me confused again.

"I have just ended up in a place where ponies can talk, the moon needs raising, where giant space bears live in caves, and everything wants to kill you for no reason." I explained angrily.

"And they don't do that from where you're from?" She asked worriedly.

"No!" I say. "Which is why I think I'm either insane, or in some sort of coma/bad dream."

Suddenly another 'Alicorn' bursts through the door, except this one's white and slightly taller.

"Hello Luna, how goes our interrogation?" She asked.

"Oh, it's very confusing." Luna said still trying to work out my predicament.

The white one looked at me angrily as if it was my fault that it was confusing. Then she smiled, which was really worrying as it looked as if she was planning something particularly evil.

"Well, you'd better make this less confusing, or I'll make your side of our bargain even harder." She said cryptically.

I looked at her, trying to remember when I had made a deal with a magic white unicorn-horse. Hmmm, nope.

She looked disappointed. "Don't you remember, you said you'd do anything if a certain Horse Goddess helped you out..." She hinted.

"Oh no, you're a Goddess too?" I asked in horror.

"Why yes, I am Princess Celestia, Goddess of the Sun, and you are in my debt." She said happily.

My vision started to blur, and I started to fall backwards.
