A/N2: This WILL contain some Season 4 spoilers from the latest episode at the time the chapter is written, currently being everything up to S4 E8: Rarity takes Manehatten. Anyway, enough with my talking, enjoy!

"And that is why most of the species in Equestria get along in harmony," Cheerilee finished.

"That was a kind of weird story, Sweetie Belle, wasn't it?" Scootaloo whispered to the white filly sitting next to her.

"Yeah, it was a bit strange," Sweetie Belle whispered back. "Hey, Scootaloo, so you think we could get a cutie mark in story-telling?"

"Yeah, we haven't tried that yet," Scootaloo replied, "I bet that's what our cutie marks will be!"

Cheerilee cleared her throat and announced "Now, it's time for me to set you homework!"

"Aaaaaaaawwwwww," the class complained.

"But you said we weren't gonna get any homework today!" Silver Spoon argued.

"Yeah," Snails said.

Cheerilee raised her voice and hastily interrupted "Quieten down class, this will be fun homework!"

"My father will hear about this..." Diamond Tiara muttered angrily.

"You will make up a new creature and write a story about it, if it were to live in Equestria!" Cheerilee continued.

"Yay!" the class cheered

"This is the perfect chance for us to get our cutie marks in writing!" Sweetie Belle whispered to Scootaloo.

"Yeah, let's make this the best story ever!" Scootaloo replied enthusiastically.

"Now, class dismissed!" Cheerilee announced.

The class rushed out, and Apple Bloom came up from behind Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, who were in deep conversation, discussing what their creature would look like.

"So, is the Cutie Mark Crusader sleepover still on?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Sure!" Sweetie Belle replied enthusiastically, "We're staying with Rarity, but she doesn't know that yet..."

"Okay, ah'm just gonna check with Applejack that ah can go," Apple Bloom said.

Apple Bloom bounced up to Applejack who was carrying a basket full of apples to the village centre.

"Hey Applejack, can ah go to Rarity's for the Cutie Mark Crusader sleepover?" Apple Bloom asked pleadingly.

"Err, okay, I don't see why not," Applejack said. Secretly she was having a mini celebration inside her mind. An evening without the filly getting into trouble! At least, not trouble that she would have to deal with...

"Thanks!" Apple Bloom said happily, before beginning to bounce back to her friends.

"Wait one second!" Applejack demanded.

Apple Bloom turned around hesitantly.

"Umm, does Rarity know that you are having a sleepover at her house?" Applejack asked quietly.

"No!" Apple Bloom replied, then bounced off towards her friends.

Applejack chuckled to herself. Rarity was going to have a tough night.

~~~~~
Rarity heard knocking at the door, and went to open it. As she began using her magic to open the door, three fillies burst through, and landed in a pile on the floor.
Sweetie Belle bounced up quickly.
"Are you ready for the Cutie Mark Crusader sleepover?" she asked.
Rarity opened her mouth to speak, but was cut off by Sweetie Belle.
"Thanks, you're the best sister ever!" Sweetie Belle told Rarity.
They all rushed into the kitchen and sat around the table. Scootaloo took out a piece of paper and they started brain-storming ideas down.
Rarity moved closer to see what they were doing.
"So, what are you doing now?" Rarity asked curiously.
"Oh, we're doing our homework. We have to write a story about a new creature, which could live in Equestria," Sweetie Belle explained.
"And our creature is going to be awesome!!!" Scootaloo said.
Rarity smiled to herself. "Is it fashionable?" she asked.
Sweetie Belle looked back in disbelief. "Rarity, no!" she said in annoyance.
Rarity grinned smugly then put on an apologetic expression. "I was just joking," she said. "However," She smiled smugly and continued. "I don't think that I can have three fillies in my house tonight, so, the sleepover is cancelled... Unless of course, you listen and do what you're told."
Sweetie Belle glared at Rarity then smiled and started writing. "Fine, it can wear clothes, so it helps your Boutique, when it buys clothes here." she replied.
Rarity considered this for a moment, then smiled. "Okay, that'll be satisfactory." she decided.
Scootaloo frowned. "Why does it have to wear clothes?" she complained. "We, have to give it an actual reason for wearing clothes, we can't tell Cheerilee that it wears clothes because Rarity blackmailed us."
"I don't know, maybe it has no fur or something," Sweetie Belle replied.
"But, what does it look like?" Rarity asked, irritated by the fillies lack of concentration.
"Um, it looks like a chicken?" Apple Bloom suggested.
"Like Scootaloo?" Sweetie Belle said innocently.
"I told you to keep quiet about that joke," Scootaloo muttered angrily.
The other two fillies giggled.
"A chicken?" Rarity said. "Chickens don't have fur, so that won't work." "How about a..."
Rarity thought for a moment. What animals had fur, and could be useful?
"How about a gorilla, that would be intimidating, especially if it had no fur." she suggested hopefully.
"Nah, we want it tah be helpful, not scary," Apple Bloom said.
"How about a giant monkey?" Scootaloo said.
"You mean an ape?" Rarity asked.
"Yeah, that would be helpful. It can pick things up with those finger things." Scootaloo said happily.
"How do you know about apes?" Sweetie Belle asked. "You hardly ever pay attention in lessons."
"Oh, I heard Lyra talking about these things called humans, supposedly they are intelligent apes."
"How come ah've never seen one?" Apple Bloom asked suspiciously.
"Um, maybe because they don't exist?" Scootaloo said.
"Oh, ah knew that..." Apple Bloom said hastily.
"So we can do our story about 'humans' then?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"I suppose so..." Rarity said.
"Can we go round and ask Lyra about humans?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Okay," Rarity said reluctantly. "But make sure you're back soon, it's getting late."
"Okay!" The fillies said happily, and they bounced out of the door and towards Lyra and Bon Bon's apartment.
Rarity sighed. "Now I've got some peace for an hour or so..." she said quietly to herself.
~~~~~

As Lyra went to answer the knocking at the door, she wondered who it could be. Bon Bon was out drinking with some other mares, and said that she would be back late. Maybe it was cancelled? She opened the door, and for the second time that day, three fillies fell on a pile on the doorstep.
Lyra quickly bent down to help them up. "Are you alright!" she asked worriedly.

"Yeah," Scootaloo replied, and the two other fillies nodded in reassurance.

Lyra paused then asked "May I ask why you are here?"

"Oh, we wanted to know about humans, for our school project, and Scootaloo said that you knew lots about them." Sweetie Belle replied cheerfully.

Lyra's eyes widened slightly, and a wide grin formed on her face. She started talking at a frantic pace, similar to Rainbow Dash talking about the Wonderbolts or Daring Do. She was obviously very passionate about them. "Really, didyoucomeheresowecantalkabouthumans? Humansarereallyinteresting, theyhavethesehandswhicharereallyhelpful, andlookreallyawesome. Andtheyarereallytall, muchtallerthanuouorme, maybetallerthanoneoftheprincesses!"

The three fillies just looked back at her in confusion.

"What?" Apple Bloom asked.

Lyra blushed and looked a little sheepish.

"I am really fascinated by humans, so I kind of get like that, when I find somepony who wants to talk about them. Not many ponies do though, and find me irritating or weird..." she explained.

"Oh, then you're lucky we'd like to learn about humans then." Sweetie Belle said happily.

"First, I'll tell you the main myth about humans, which is the most well known and popular," Lyra told them.

"Once, years ago, before the Discordian Era, Equus was very different. Equestria hadn't yet been discovered by ponies, and all of the species which currently inhabit Equus, lived on a massive island called Apuris. Ponies, griffons, zebra, minotaur, other animals, even Diamond Dogs, dragons and draconequi all lived in harmony. Then one day, out of the centre of the island, came tall bipedal, monkey-like creatures which started chopping down the trees on the island, and making small shelters. The leaders of the other races confronted the human leader, and tried to reason with the creatures. The human leader, picked up a log, and attempted to attack the griffon leader, but the other races managed to stop it. After a few minutes, the entire island was locked in conflict, humans attacking everything. After an hour of fighting, the air turned cold, and a snowstorm appeared out of nowhere. Out of the falling snow, massive Windigos were formed, and they threatened to destroy all of Equus, as there was so much fighting and hatred for them to feed on. The humans, fled to the centre of the island, and nopony ever saw a human again, and the Windigos disappeared," Lyra finished. "At least, that's how the legend goes."

"So are human a very violent species?" Sweetie Belle asked curiously.

"Yes," Lyra replied. "If they came back to Equus, they may have evolved so much, that we couldn't defend ourselves, and they might even be able to stop Windigos, it would mean disaster for Equus..."

"Were humans intelligent?" Apple Bloom asked.

"They displayed signs of basic intelligence, but not particularly, although they appeared to speak basic Equestrian." Lyra replied.

"Does anypony know what happened to humans?" Scootaloo asked.

"Well, there are many theories on that, but I believe that they returned to the land which they came from, and have been living there since."

"So you believe that the myth was true?" Sweetie Belle questioned.

"Why, yes," Lyra replied. "They fascinate me extremely, so I hope that they really are out there, and maybe, one day, I could travel to their land and see a human..."

"Anyway, thanks for the information Lyra!" Apple Bloom said happily.

"It's fine, you are welcome at any time!" Lyra responded enthusiastically. She loved to see people as interested as her about humans, especially ponies so young.

The three fillies clambered off the floor, and headed back towards Rarity's Boutique.

Rainbow Dash was just finishing the final book in the Daring Do series for the forty-seventh time in a row, still enjoying every moment of the stories. She wished that there were more books, but A.K.Yearling; the author of the series, hadn't published a book for ages. As she finished the final chapter, she got up and walked towards an open book, and picked up a quill.

As there hadn't been any books yet, Rainbow Dash had decided to write a fan fiction about Daring Do, so it would ease her cravings for more Daring Do adventure. 'Rainbow Dash and Daring Do managed to lift the final ring off the stone contraption, and the temple started to collapse. Everypony apart from Ahuitzotl and his minions escaped the temple just before it collapsed. Ahuitzotl lifted his head from out of the rubble and screeched "Curse you Daring Do!" Rainbow Dash and her friends said farewell to Daring Do, and left her to write up her most recent adventure. A month later, Rainbow Dash received a package. Curiously, she opened it, and was overjoyed to find a copy of the latest Daring Do book, which displayed a picture if her flying alongside her idol on the front cover. '

Rainbow Dash put down her quill, and reread the final chapter with satisfaction and pride. "Well Rainbow Dash," she said to herself. "Time to upload this to FiRMfiction!" She sat on her bed whilst her machine, a gift from Twilight, slowly uploaded the story onto the magical database.

As she sat, she fantasised about how awesome it would be if her story's events actually happened. Then a brilliant idea came to her, there was probably a spell on this in Twilight's library. She quickly grabbed her book, and zoomed out of her house down toward Twilight's library.

~~~~~
As a knock came at the door, Rarity rushed towards it, taking a glance out of the window as she walked. She noticed it was the three fillies and opened the door to let them in.
As they hopped inside, a loud crashing noise sounded from Twilight's library. Rarity squinted to get a better view of what was happening, before dismissing it as another of Twilight's magical experiment going wrong again. She sighed, then closed the door, and turned around to see that the three fillies were already writing.
"Did you find out much about humans?" Rarity asked curiously.
"Oh, yeah," Scootaloo replied. "Apparently they're fairly violent and not particularly intelligent."
Rarity's eyes widened in shock. "And you have to write about something like that living in Equestria?"
"Oh, in our story, they live on the Everfree, so we're safe." Sweetie Belle quickly explained.
"What a relief..." Rarity murmured. "It wouldn't do to have creatures so cruel and brutal galloping around Equestria."
"Rarity, I don't think humans gallop, they only have two legs..." Sweetie Belle corrected.
"Ah think you're taking this too seriously Rarity," Apple Bloom said. "This is just a short story after all..."
"I suppose you're right girls," Rarity admitted.
A few minutes later Sweetie Belle cried out "Finished!"
Rarity walked in and took a glance at it. "Don't you think it's quite long?" she asked. "It looks alright, but you'd better give it to Twilight so she can check it for grammar errors..."
"Okay!" the fillies said cheerfully, and they ran off towards Twilight's tree-library.
~~~~~

Rainbow Dash crashed into the side of Twilight's library, the impact knocking Spike off a ladder, and disrupting several books, causing them to fall off their shelves.

"Ugh," she groaned. "Sorry Twilight."

Twilight Sparkle looked angrily down at the Pegasus on her floor. "Why do you have to keep crashing into my library?" she asked angrily.
"I said I was sorry Twilight," Rainbow Dash said apologetically. "But I needed to be quick, so I can quickly do some research before the library closes."

Twilight blinked. "Are you feeling alright Dash?" she asked worriedly. "You just said that you wanted to do some research..."

"Yeah, I, er, read something about a type of magic," she lied.

"Oh, it's good that you're interested about magic!" she said happily. "Now what would you like me to find for you?"

"Oh, I can find it on my own," she said.

Twilight frowned. Rainbow Dash was acting suspiciously, she was probably playing a prank or something. "Okay, I'll leave you to it..."

Twilight walked out of the room, and Rainbow Dash clambered off the floor, and started frantically searching for a book about turning books into reality.

~~~~~
Ten minutes later, Rainbow Dash had found the book she was looking for. After discarding "A Thousand Magical Ways to Get a Dragon Slave", and "The World of Sarcasm, What it is, and How to Understand It" she finally found "Dark Magic, the Slightly Evil Magic which can have Dire Consequences...". She flipped it open, and flicked to the index. She looked under 'F' and found "Fiction into Reality, Pg 3678", She turned to page 3678, and quickly copied her spell onto a piece of paper.
~~~~~

It was 5:50pm at Heathrow Airport, UK. I was just about to board the flight to Russia, leaving at 6:30pm, and was waiting patiently for the boarding calls. As I sat, I worked on my Sudoku grid, something I was bringing to the conference meeting in Russia, for passing the time in between discussions, as my phone was dangerously low on charge.

As I progressed slightly further, I realised I had made a mistake. My eyes widened as I realised I had messed up the entire grid. Okay, I admit it. I'm a perfectionist. As I made sure that I had made a mistake, I quickly tore out the offending page, and put it in the trash can next to me.

Suddenly a voice echoed around the airport. "Gate 3 is now boarding. I repeat Gate 3 is now boarding." I quickly put my Sudoku book in my bag, and followed the signs directing me to Gate 3. As I reached the Gate, I groaned. The queue was already at least fifty people long, so I quickly joined, so I wouldn't have to wait longer still.

~~~~~
The three fillies entered Twilight's library.
"Twilight, we have a book for you to proof-read!" Sweetie Belle called out.
"Just a minute!" Twilight shouted from upstairs.
A few seconds later, Twilight Sparkle came down the stairs, and looked down at the book, the fillies had out on the table.
"Nice to see that you're writing!" Twilight said enthusiastically. "But I have to deal with some stuff upstairs now, would you mind just leaving this here, for me to read later?"
"Sure!" Scootaloo said. "That means we have more time for crusading!"
"Okay, see you tomorrow girls!" Twilight said cheerfully, as the Cutie Mark Crusaders, ran off towards their clubhouse.
Twilight heard a sound from behind her, and looked around. Rainbow Dash had came down from upstairs, holding a piece of paper with writing on it.
She put a book down on the table and said "Twilight, do you mind using this spell on my book?" Rainbow Dash asked hopefully.
"Fine, what does it do?" Twilight said grumpily. She was irritated with Rainbow Dash at the moment.
"Oh, it just changes the front cover," she lied.
"Okay," Twilight said. Her horn began to glow purple, and she put a look if concentration on her face.
Rainbow Dash looked at the book, which was going to become reality, very very soon... And then realised there was a book underneath it.
"Twilight, STOP!" she said quickly, but she was too late, as she cast the spell, and it enveloped both the books in a flash of light.
"Why do I need to stop, Rainbow Dash?" Twilight asked suspiciously.
"Um sorry Twilight but that wasn't a change cover spell I gave you..." Rainbow Dash said sadly.
"I suspected as much, what did it do?" Twilight asked angrily.
"Um, it was kind of a spell to make my book come to life..." Rainbow Dash said sheepishly.
"What?" Twilight said in disbelief, a rising worry and anger in her voice. "I thought this was a prank or something, but this is serious Dash! Why did you do it?"
"Um, I wasn't thinking straight this morning..." Rainbow Dash said still sad.
Twilight took in a deep breath, and calmed herself down. "But, this is just a book about you meeting Daring Do, right?" she asked quickly.
"Yes..." Rainbow Dash said quietly.
"Phew, I thought I was going to have to report this to the Princess or something..." Twilight shuddered. "But, it'll all be fine now! Nothing to worry about, and you'll get to have adventures with Daring Do!"
"Oh, kind of, except there was another book underneath..." Rainbow Dash trailed off.
Twilight eyes widened again, and she quickly ripped open the book which the Crusaders had given her. 'violent human', 'lives in the Everfree'. She froze in shock before calming herself down again. " Now we've definitely got to report this to the Princess." Twilight said anxiously. "A dangerous creature is loose in Equestria..."
Twilight quickly rushed upstairs and pulled out a case out of her drawer.
She took out the Elements of Harmony carefully, and ran back downstairs, levitating the Elements behind her.
"Spike, write a letter about the events which have occurred, requesting her assistance, also maybe some members info the Royal Guard." Twilight ordered.
"Rainbow Dash, quickly gather the others and meet me at the front of the Everfree in 5 minutes, we'll have a talk about this later..." Twilight said.
"You got it!" Rainbow Dash said, and she quickly flew out of the hole she made earlier.
Twilight quickly packed some books, expecting any sort of situation with the human. She quickly packed them in her saddlebag, and sprinted off towards the front of the Everfree forest .
~~~~~

As I reached the front of the queue, I showed my passport to the security guard.

"And you are John Knox?" he asked neutrally.

"Yes," I replied.

"Okay, you are free to go through," he said. He handed me back my passport, and let me through.

I walked along the tunnel leading up to the plane, and boarded.

"We hope you enjoy your flight, sir." the hostess said.

"I'm sure I will..." I told her cheerfully, and I walked down to my seat.

As I sat down into my comfy chair, I put my headphones in, and closed my eyes. I was going to spend the majority of my flight listening to relaxing music. Flights always made me nervous.

The remaining passengers boarded, and we took off a few minutes later.

~~~~~
About half an hour later, I woke up to the flashing sound of sirens, warning the passengers about something.
"Can I please have your attention, we have slight problems with our engines, so we will be attempting to make an emergency landing onto the sea, please remain calm, and get ready to evacuate the plane."
I instantly went into a panic, like the majority of the rest of the plane. The plane lurched, and suddenly I felt as if we were falling through the sky. As we reached terminal velocity, I saw the sea coming closer and closer...
The last thing I saw was a bright flashing light, and the feeling of floating.
~~~~~

Twilight smiled in relief, as she saw her friends approach nervously.

"Is it true?" Rarity inquired. "Is that dreadful human really out in the forest?"

"Unfortunately, yes..." Twilight replied, and a Rarity gasped melodramatically.

"This truly is the worst possible THING!" she screamed.

"Stay calm Rarity," Applejack said. "We can teach this human a lesson for attacking Equestria..."

"That is the plan of action," Twilight said carefully. "We have to restrain the human, and secure it in the Canterlot dungeons, if we have to, we will use the Elements to stop it, and seal it in stone..."

A loud whooshing noise came from behind them, and they turned around in surprise to see all three Princesses, Shining Armour, and the entire Royal Guard.

"We acted immediately, my faithful student," Princess Celestia said to Twilight. "It was fortunate that you informed me so quickly..."

"Is this all necessary?" Twilight asked.

"Yes," Princess Celestia replied gravely. "We don't know what it is capable of,"

"Okay then, at least we have support," Twilight said.

The large group of ponies started walking into the Everfree forest.

~~~~~
I woke up, still dazed from the aeroplane incident. As I looked up, I realised what must have happened. The plane must have crashed, and I washed up in this forest. I stood up and began walking in a straight line. I need to find someone to talk to, to find out where I am...
As I walked, I heard a clopping noise from my left.
Ah, horses, that means that there might be people too... I ran left and entered a clearing. As I looked around I froze. At least two-hundred horses were staring back at me. It took me a second to register that some were wearing armour, some had wings, and some had horns. I still tried to process what was happening, before they suddenly all charged at me. I swore, and ran for my life in the opposite direction...
Imprisonment, Interrogation, and Ingenious Plans...
[Fifteen minutes earlier]
Princess Celestia lead the combined forces of ponies through the Everfree forest, hunting down the deadly enemy which was hiding in there. She cautiously surveyed the area around her, looking for this 'human'. She had never met one in person before, but remembered the stories which her grandparents would tell her on Nightmare Night. The Royal Family, had of course kept the knowledge of humans as minimal as possible, but it had managed to leak out into general public. Luckily, they had managed to conceal it as a myth. Only members of the Royal Family, and the most trusted military officers were provided with the information, as the humans may figure out a way back through into Equus, so Equestria needed to be prepared.
All those years ago, when the humans did invade, the moment the humans fled through the portal in the centre of Apuris, her ancestors had blocked it off so that the humans would never return. However, they feared that the humans may eventually find a way to break back through, as they evolved incredibly fast, building a small settlement only a day after arriving on the island, and had become capable of picking out the fruits which weren't poisonous, finding the weaknesses of many of the species on the island, and had adapted to the cold temperature by creating fire, long before ponies found out how.
Humans were a dangerous and unpredictable force, and needed to be wiped out of Equus, before they reduced it ashes. Even Discord had taken a few days to reduce Equestria to complete Chaos, whilst the humans managed to do it in under two hours. She was convinced that even though the human had accidently found its way through to Equestria, it wouldn't be long before it took advantage of this, and invited fellow humans through. As soon as it found the entrance to the portal, Equus would be doomed.
She raised her voice and began giving orders. If they were going to save Equestria, this operation would have to be carried out extremely carefully. "Alright, we currently don't know what the human is capable of, but if the legends are anything to go on, we know it will be especially dangerous, easily the biggest threat Equestria has ever faced. Yes, I know what you're thinking. They are worse than Queen Chrysalis, they could invade and conquer a city ten times bigger than Canterlot, with half the infantry. They are worse than Sombra, they commit the most horrific acts, and as it says in the myths, were slaughtering each other, for the sake of it. And finally, they are worse than even Discord, they are creatures which live Chaos, rather than govern it. If we are going to manage this, we must capture and restrain the human whilst it is still disorientated from its inter dimensional journey. However, it may have already recovered, so don't expect it to be easier to restrain. It may even fake confusion, just to fool us. Prepare yourselves for everything. The moment you see it, attack it and knock it into an unconscious state. Then we can transport it to Canterlot dungeons."
The ponies looked uneasily at Celestia, they had never heard her speak so passionately and angrily before. Soon after Celestia had finished her speech, there was a rustling from the right side of the trees, and a strange bipedal creature stepped out. A few of the ponies looked at it in confusion, others in amusement at its peculiar body. However the majority just looked at it with pure hatred, and ran towards it at an incredible speed. It looked startled as it noticed the large advancement towards it, but turned and ran at a surprising speed for a creature with only two legs.
~~~~~

So, where was I? Oh yeah, I was being chased by an assortment of normal, and mythical horses through a forest. I didn't even bother to try and look at that situation in a logical way, as I was pretty sure that if I stopped to think about it, I was dead.

So I ran for my life, avoiding being trampled by horses. Just a typical day. As I reached the edge of the forest, or what looked like it, I started to approach a massive cave. Not a normal cave, a MASSIVE cave, the entrance was at least forty metres squared, but I decided that I might be able to lose the horses in there. I ran straight into the cave, and quickly glanced over my shoulder to see whether they were following. To my joy, they had stopped right in front of the cave, looking worried. I ran forward a bit more, just to make sure that they weren't following me. It seemed as if the cave ended fairly quickly though, although it seemed to shine in a peculiar way, as though I was looking out at the night sky. I decided to ignore that though and slumped down at the back of the cave.

As I caught my breath, I stopped breathing as heavily, yet I still heard loud breathing noises. I stopped breathing a second, to make sure that it was just me, but the breathing noises still continued, almost as if they were coming from the back of the wall. I nervously looked up at the cave wall again, and realised that it was moving back and forwards very slightly. I blinked in surprise, the wall was alive! I began to poke it in interest, and suddenly the wall started sliding back . I flinched back in shock, and fear began to creep back into my body again, as the wall slowly lifted itself into the toe of a massive paw. The paw moved back too, and the cave suddenly opened up into a massive cavern. I froze in horror as I realised what I had disturbed. I stared directly into the eyes of a absolutely enormous space bear. Well, I say space bear because it looked as though it was covered in stars. It was at least eighty metres tall, I didn't even know how it managed to fit into the cave. It stared straight back at me, in frustration as I had disturbed its slumber.

I slowly began to step backwards, as it stretched still recovering from its sleep. Eventually, it started to advance, one stride for it, worth at least ten of mine.

As it started to speed up, I began to walk faster, until it broke into a run and I turned and sprinted up towards the entrance of the cave. Just as I predicted, the bear was too tall to continue, but attempted to crawl the rest if the way. It made up at about halfway up, then got too wide for the cave, and had to turn back. Before it returned back to its lair, it glared at me threateningly giving out a very clear; 'I see you again, you're dead...' signal.

I breathed a sigh of relief, before realising that I had been surrounded by horses during my escape. I swore again, and I attempted to run, but I started to lose conscious, and fell into a deep sleep.

~~~~~
I woke up in a damp, cold cell. It appeared that I had been captured and put into a prison whilst I was unconscious. I began to feel an emotion between fear and confusion. I was confused of why the horse-things hadn't just killed me. They seemed violent enough, which is what I feared. Who knew how many other humans they had captured, after accidentally washing up on this island...
As I pondered my situation, footsteps interrupted my thoughts, as one of the horses came down the stairs with a bowl and plate, probably for feeding me. At least they had the decency to give me food, rather than let me starve. I now had a better view of the horses, as the other times I had seen them was whilst I was running for my life, and as I was being knocked unconscious. They looked, kind of wrong, almost unnatural. This one was a Pegasus, which I knew as I was an expert on my Greek mythology. It looked different from horses at home, yet seemed slightly similar too, it was very confusing.
For starters, it had a shorter muzzle, and had much wider eyes, which kind of made it look like a very realistic cartoon. This one was also different to horses back at home, as instead if being a shade of black, brown, or white, this one was luminous green. I'm not even joking! It was glowing luminous green, and also had a bright luminous purple mane.
Horses around here sure were strange. As it approached me, it looked slightly wary, as though I was going to attack it whilst it was delivering my food. As it put its hoof through the bars to place down the food, I reached out for it and the horse recoiled very quickly. It looked frightened and worried, as if I was some sort of monster...
It quickly climbed back up the stairs leaving me to sit in the darkness once again.
~~~~~

Princess Celestia looked up expectantly as Lime Light walked into her chambers.

"I have just delivered the food to the creature like you ordered, it appeared to be fairly aggressive, as it reached out for me as if it were going to attack me when I placed down its food." Lime Light reported.

"It's just as I feared..." Princess Celestia muttered. "Humans haven't changed one bit since they were last here..."

"What was that Your Majesty?" Lime Light asked.

"Nothing, just get our scientists to have a look at the creature." Princess Celestia ordered flatly.

"Very well." Lime Light walked out of her chambers, leaving the Princess to ponder how she was going to deal with the human once again.

~~~~~
Lime Light walked down through the castle corridors, heading towards the laboratories. The Princess seemed fairly grumpy today, maybe it had something to do with the monster...
Lime Light immediately stopped wondering. The Princesses problems are not of my concern he reassured himself. Just carry on following orders, like you have for the past ten years.
Nothing ever excited around Canterlot Castle, and when it did, those irritating 'Elements' saved the day before he could do anything. One day, the Elemets would lose, and it would be up to Lime Light to save the day.
Lime Light reached the labs, and stepped inside through the ajar steel door.
One of the ponies inside looked around, startled and spilled a substance of some sort on his lab coat. The burning on his lab coat led him to regain his concentration, and he walked up to Lime Light.
"Lime Light, haven't seen you in a while, still falling out of windows?" he greeted cheerfully.
Lime Light gritted his teeth, and replied "No, that was a one-time thing, but tell me, are you still poisoning mares for the sake of it?"
Now it was the other stallions turn to grit his teeth. "That wasn't on purpose, and you fully well know that," he said angrily. "I still think about her every day..."
"Too bad you decided to kill her off then," Lime Light replied smugly.
The stallion facing him fuming in rage, and ran at him, only to be stopped by his fellow scientists.
"What do you need to tell us this time, Lime Light?" one of them asked with a tired expression in their voice.
"Oh, I just wanted to tell you that the Princess wants you guys to look at this weird creature they captured a few days ago..." Lime Light replied. "Anyway, see you later geeks..."
Lime Light walked out of the room and headed for the bar.
~~~~~

I heard footsteps for the second time since I woke up, but this time they sounded like there were more than one of them. I watched on curiosity, and out of boredom to see what was going to come down the stairs this time...

I looked in surprise as about five horses, wrapped in lab coats walked down the stairs. What were these? Horse scientists? I chuckled at the idea, before realising that this place didn't make sense, so the horses in front of my could my horse scientists.

To my amazement, one of the horse started talking! I paused, my brain still trying to comprehend what was happening.

"Let the creature out of its cage temporarily so that we can observe its behaviour, we need to record this and get it to the Princess." one of them ordered.

One of the horses started to unlock my cell door, and I quickly formulated a plan. The horse opened the cell door , and I charged out, barging past it, the other horses looking startled before coming to their senses, and chasing after me.

I began to head towards the exit. Well what I hoped was the exit. Of course it helps if you know where you are and how you got there. Strangely, after a few strides down the third corridor, I began to glow with a strange blue outline. I glanced around nervously, and saw the same blue outline on the unicorn-horse's horn.

It was going to try and re-capture me with its magic! I panicked, but quickly came up with a solution. Maybe if it lost its concentration... I turned around to face my enemy, and it stopped and looked up at me with fear, as I was towering over it. That's another thing I forgot to mention, these animals were miniature. I guess that made them ponies. Apart from the horn and wings ones. They were the size of normal horses.

Anyway, the 'pony' looked up at me with terror, as if I was going to kill it. Well I guess they do treat me like some sort of monster. I decided to prove them wrong and reveal my intelligence with a typical human greeting.

"'Sup, how's it hanging?" I said.

It looked back at me, extremely confused. Well, I guess it did think that I was going to try and kill it or something. I heard one of the scientists behind it furiously scribbling whilst muttering "It appears to be trying to communicate with us..."

I seized the opportunity and turned and ran. The ponies just watched as I ran away, until I heard one of them sounding an alarm. Probably for some kind if military. I was right, as a few seconds later, a group of armour-clad ponies ran round from the end of the corridor. As I slowed down, I heard a sound from behind me and knew I was surrounded.

There was only one way out of this - distraction. I silently prayed to all those pony-gods out there that didn't want me dead that this would work. I will do anything for them if this works.

"We outnumber you easily. Just surrender now," I informed them.

As they looked around in confusion for the 'we' I silently congratulated myself, and reminded myself to thank the Gods.

I quickly charged at the group in front of me, and barged through the ponies like bowling pins. I glance around triumphantly, gloating at my victory over the ponies, that is until I hit a wall.

~~~~~
I woke up for the second time that day, feeling dazed and confused. I looked up and saw one of the horn and wings ponies looking down at me with disgust. I wonder I did to irritate it.
It noticed that I had woken up, and began to speak.
"WHAT ARE THOU INTENTIONS HERE, HUMAN?" it asked, as my ear drums exploded. Of course, they didn't actually explode, but it felt like it. Maybe it was going to take revenge on whatever I had done by making me go deaf.
It suddenly blushed sheepishly, and spoke in a MUCH better voice.
"I apologise, I am used to speaking in the Royal Canterlot Voice, it is traditional for us Alicorns to do so..." She said, which I realised from her tone of voice.
I decided to try and not make things any worse.
"It's alright, but what is an Alicorn?" I question.
"Oh, an Alicorn is a winged-unicorn, but Alicorns are usually only Royalty" She explained.
Well, now I knew what to call them.
"So, I assume you are royalty?" I ask.
"Oh, forgive me, I am Princess Luna, Goddess of the Night." She stated.
I looked at her, confused, before laughing my head off. Between bursts of laughter I managed to speak.
"No, - seriously -- who are - you?"
'Luna' frowned and spoke again.
"I told thee already, I am the Goddess of the Night."
I immediately stopped laughing and realised that she wasn't joking.
"Oh, sorry," I quickly apologise. "From where I'm from, stuff like this never happens. We don't have a Goddess of the Night."
Luna went from irritated to confused. "How can this be? Who raises the moon then?"
I returned her look of confusion.
"Er, nobody raises the moon..." I reply.
"Then why did you say that you didn't have a Goddess of the Night. From what you're telling me, this 'Nobody' you speak of has a certain amount of power over the night..."
I look at her confused again. "I don't know what you're talking about..."
"Uh, I'm supposed to be interrogating thee, who are thee?" She asked.
"Oh, I'm John Knox," I replied. "And as for my intentions, I would like to find out what the heck is going on."
Luna looked at me confused again.
"I have just ended up in a place where ponies can talk, the moon needs raising, where giant space bears live in caves, and everything wants to kill you for no reason." I explained angrily.
"And they don't do that from where you're from?" She asked worriedly.
"No!" I say. "Which is why I think I'm either insane, or in some sort of coma/bad dream."
Suddenly another 'Alicorn' bursts through the door, except this one's white and slightly taller.
"Hello Luna, how goes our interrogation?" She asked.
"Oh, it's very confusing." Luna said still trying to work out my predicament.
The white one looked at me angrily as if it was my fault that it was confusing. Then she smiled, which was really worrying as it looked as if she was planning something particularly evil.
"Well, you'd better make this less confusing, or I'll make your side of our bargain even harder." She said cryptically.
I looked at her, trying to remember when I had made a deal with a magic white unicorn-horse. Hmmm, nope.
She looked disappointed. "Don't you remember, you said you'd do anything if a certain Horse Goddess helped you out..." She hinted.
"Oh no, you're a Goddess too?" I asked in horror.
"Why yes, I am Princess Celestia, Goddess of the Sun, and you are in my debt." She said happily.
My vision started to blur, and I started to fall backwards.
I woke up to see two Alicorns looking over me.
"Ah, you have recovered." Celestia said.
"Uh, what are you going to make me do, I'll just get it over and done with..." I said wearily.
"You must answer the questions I ask you truthfully, that is all." She said.
I looked at her suspiciously. Was this a joke, or was this all the Sun Goddess, who I was in debt to was making me do.
"Ok," I answered happily.
"Good!" Celestia also smiled, and gestured towards the exit urging me to leave the room. I walked out, into the building I had only seen briefly, whilst I was 'escaping'. There were windows every so often along the corridor, each displaying a glass-stain image. As we walked down the long corridors, I glanced at a few of the ones which stood out. There was a picture depicting what I assumed were supposed to be the two Princesses, surrounding a strange chimera-like creature. There was also a picture of a group of six ponies, surrounding the same creature, some of which I recognised from the chase in the forest. Especially the rainbow-maned one, and the smaller purple Alicorn.
As I began to trail behind Celestia, who had now taken lead whilst I was admiring the windows, I quickened my pace to keep up with her.
I decided to ask a question which I had been curious about. "What are those pictures on your - um - flanks?"
"Oh, they are our Cutie Marks, they represent our special talent. Everypony gets one." Celestia replied.
"Um, you all have a unique special talent?" I asked curiously.
"Why yes, although a few are slightly similiar, none are exactly the same." She explained.
I was still slightly confused. "But, wouldn't that mean you would need billions of different Cutie Marks?" I asked.
"Billions? Why would there need to be billions of different Cutie Marks?" Celestia questioned, confused.
"Oh, how many ponies are there on this planet?" I asked.
"Oh, there are currently about 10 million ponies, and rising every day." She said proudly.
I was very surprised. "Only 10 million ponies?" I inquired.
"Yes. How many humans are there on Earth?" She asked.
"Oh, about 7-8 billion about now." I replied.
Her eyes widened and she looked at me incredulously.
"You're -re, joking right?" She asked unsurely.
"No," I told her. "Why would I be joking?"
She paused for a moment, then attempted to calm herself down. "That's lots of humans compared to the last time we visited..." She muttered.
"What?" I asked.
"Oh, nothing, just step through here." She responded.
We had now reached the end of a corridor, and it was time for my interrogation. What would a pony want to know about me? I was sure I was about to find out...
I stepped through into the dimly lit room, and sat down in one of the chairs, facing Celestia who was sitting down at the other wide of the desk. Her horn shine briefly, and a large light shined in my face.
"Woah, you're really going all out with this interrogation thing aren't you." I said.
She looked at me irritated, and the interrogation began.
"What are humans like now?" She asked.
"Um, that's kind of a hard question, as there are so many different cultures and people. But I can tell you what I'm like. I'm twenty-seven years old, and I live alone. I suppose, I'm kind of an idealist, I am an atheist. Not much else, um, I work as the owner of a tile-making company, which is REALLY boring, but it pays fairly well." I told her.
She nodded, noting down what I was saying before looking back up at me. "How much have humans evolved, since I don't know, since 4000 years ago?" She asked.
I blinked in surprise at the odd question, but did as the all-powerful Goddess wished. "Well, that was a LONG time ago, so humans have evolved massively. For starters, we have cars; a vehicle we use for transport, the average car can travel up to around 120 miles an hour. We have planes as well, for transport; they are massive flying machines we use for transport." I was interrupted by Celestia.
"Did I mishear, or did you say you have flying machines?" She asked.
"Um yeah, we do..." I said.
She looked at me in shock. "How did you manage to create a spell which would allow you to do that without causing a Chaos rift?" She asked.
I looked at her. "Spell?"
"Yes, spell as in magic." She said looking slightly annoyed.
Oh, I should've seen that one coming. Of course they have magic here, I've seen them use spells enough. Damn it, why didn't you notice that sooner? I began to explain that on Earth, there was no magic.
About an hour later, I had gone through human history, and Celestia had managed to accept our technological advancements, without the use of magic."
"Can I see your eletic fon please?" She asked.
I sighed. "It's called electric, and this is a phone, not a fon, but okay." I told her.
She beamed.
I reached into my trouser pockets and pulled out my iPhone. Damn. Low battery. Maybe there's a spell...
I clicked the on button in the top right corner, and the Apple symbol flashed up on the screen. Celestia gasped, and tried reaching out towards the screen with her hoof. As she touched, she knocked it out of my hand, and it fell on the floor. She gasped again, and started apologising. I picked it up and checked that it hadn't broken, and then reassured Celestia that she hadn't damaged anything.
It flashed to the home screen, with my picture of a waterfall as my background. She looked at it curiously, before asking "Is that Earth?"
"Yes," I replied.
She nodded, and I unlocked the screen, and it switched to displaying my apps. I offered it to Celestia, and she gingerly picked it up of my hand, and held it in her hoof. Curiously she pressed the home button. It beeped and she dropped it again.
"Sorry, it made a sound!" Celestia complained "Are you sure it isn't possessed?"
"It's supposed to do that," I reassured her "And it definitely isn't possessed, it's just a machine."
She picked it up off the floor, and tried pressing the home button again. Beep-beep "How may I help you?"
She cried out on shock and strated screaming about it trying to attack her. My iPhone beeped again, as it tried to understand what Celestia was saying. "I found seventeen results for 'possessed machine is trying to kill me...'.
She cried out again, and suddenly the other Alicorn; Princess Luna burst through the door.
"What is wrong sister?" She asked fearfully.
"THAT OBJECT IS POSSESED AND IS TRYING TO KILL ME!!!" She screamed.
Luna looked angrily at my iPhone, and before I could do anything, my iPhone was a pile of ash on the floor.
I fell into my knees and started to cry. I can't even ask the deities of this world to help me, as they are my problem...
~~~~~

An hour later, after I had stopped sulking, and had explained what Siri was, Luna had apologised for vaporising my iPhone.

"I was going to show you Angry Birds, but no, you just had to vaporise it," I told her.

"What are these Angry Birds you speak of?" Luna asked.

"I guess you'll never find out, but they were ranked high in my world..." I replied.

"Politically?" She asked.

"Yes, but the Pigs were a big opposition..." I replied, silently sniggering.

"Pigs? What were the Pigs doing?" She asked desperately.

"Maybe, if you're nice to me, I'll tell you more about Earth..." I told her.

Luna grumbled, and shuffled off.

"So," Celestia said happily. "We'd better get you home,"

"Really?" I asked excitedly. "How can I get back, if we don't know how I got here?"

"Oh, that was easy to figure out." She informed me smugly. "You just broke through a fissure in reality, and entered at the right frequency to get to Equestria."

"Wait, what happens if you don't enter at the right frequency?" I asked worriedly, thinking of others on the plane I was on.

"Oh, you either get trapped in Limbo, return back through the fissure, or die. But the latter is very unlikely." She told me. "Was there anypony else with you?"

"Yes..." I said quietly. "I didn't know any of them, but I hope nobody died..."

"I'm sure it didn't end badly." She said reassuringly.

"Thanks," I said.

There was a short pause.

"Anyway, on a lighter note. Let's get you home." She said cheerfully.

There was a flash if light, and I felt a strange sensation, like a roller-coaster, but as if you're being pulled into yourself. The light died down, and I found myself in the forest I was in earlier. I looked around, and noticed that Celestia was also nearby, but she was standing perfectly still, and her horn was glowing. A few moments later, I heard a noise kind of like a plane taking off, and a portal opened up.

"This is the way home!" She said enthusiastically.

"Thanks!" I said. "But, what are you going to tell all the other ponies?" I asked curiously.

"Oh, they won't mind." She said calmly. "After all, nopony will remember you."

"WHAT?" I asked angrily. "You can't just take people's memories away..."

She smiled softly. "I'm afraid humans can't be made general knowledge. The least I could do, was make humans a myth. That memory spell took almost all my energy away... And, opening the portal, I almost have no energy left now." She said sadly.

"Okay, I suppose it's for the best. Nobody will see me again, and if keeping humans existence is that important to you, that you have to keep it a secret from everyone, then I suppose I can't disagree." I said.

She smiled, then motioned towards the portal. I stepped through and everything went black.

~~~~~
"I suppose it was for the best." Celestia said to herself. "Now, only I will remember this incident. The human also had to forget."
Suddenly Celestia felt another spike of magic, similar to when the human had appeared. She hoped it wasn't back again. She quickly used up the remains of her magic and teleported towards the area which the magic had been used.
She re-appeared in a desolate desert. She looked around, but saw nothing. Suddenly, a noise came from behind her, and she turned to see a group of cloaked ponies looking up at her. Each one had a symbol resembling a fireball on the side of its cloak.
One of the strange ponies began speaking in a deep, evil voice fille with hatred. "So, the pony princess is here to stop us..."
"Who are you, and what are you doing in Equestria?" Celestia asked angrily.
"Oh, I'm sure you'll be happy to know that we've returned. This time, our NEW boss helped us out of that hellhole you put us in last time." It said with disgust in its voice.
"Oh no, not you." Celestia said fearfully.
"Yes, it's us. The Cult of the Bleak Horizon has returned." It said maniacally.
"Who would be crazy enough to risk the Eternal Void to set you free?"
"Oh, Lord Kenrin has made a deal with us..."
"Kenrin?" Celestia asked in shock. "But, I thought he was a myth..."
"Yes, as are humans as I'm sure you know Princess." It said mockingly. "Unfortunately, Master said we weren't allowed to kill you yet, so we'll leave you here..."
They turned and walked off into the desert, whilst Celestia lay on the blistering desert surface, paralyzed with fear.
~~~~~

I felt the same sensation as the teleporting, except ten times more painful. "Aaaaaaggggh!l I screamed, as I felt as if my body was being ripped apart. Suddenly, I stopped moving, and a deep, emotionless voice spoke out in the darkness.

"I'm afraid it is not time to return human. I have plans for you. For the moment, you're staying in pony land."

I started screaming again, as I felt the same feeling as before. My vision blurred and I passed out.

~~~~~
Fluttershy went back into her cottage. She felt strange, as if she couldn't remember something, yet she could. Last night, she was sure sonething had happened.
"Do you remember anything Angel?" She asked her small white bunny.
Angel shook his head, and bounced off into the other room. Fluttershy shrugged, and went back outside to collect eggs.
Suddenly, she heard a noise from behind her, and something fell on the floor.
She turned to see a strange creature, lying motionlessly on the grass.
"Oh my!" She exclaimed before picking up the creature, and taking it inside to help.
As she picked it up, she gasped. She recognised this, it was a human from the myths. She wondered how this was possible, before realising that she had a patient to treat, regardless if whether they were mythical or not. She began to work, in attempt to save the human's life.
