Leads one to wonder how Equestria could have survived for so long, with no real way to protect itself from darkness or hatred and the like. Cerainly Celestia could not have single-hoofedly protected a land with her magic alone. And she didn't.
Equinox. An underground organization of infiltrators, assassins and the like, dedicated to keeping Equestria from plunging into chaos. This story does not seek to explain the origins of Equinox. It simply seeks to relate a rather complex time in it's- and Equestria's- history.
