I thought it was okay, but you could have drawn it out a bit more. Maybe explaining Rainbow and Fancypants' 'dates' or something.
Also, I think Rarity and Fancypants would be a better duo. Oh well, a story is a story. It can go however it wants to.
i consider Fleur De Lis to be Fancy Pants canon trofy wife to be honest, since she was actselly seen with him, though for a brief time.

Hm...well, I imagine that Celestia and Luna can hear all the things people have said in Equistria, and the prophecy mentioned in the Prologue mentions two alicorns taking Equistra from the sisters. So that's my reason for them suddenly arriving at the birth.
