Thank you for taking the time to write this. It really brightened up my night.

amaizing..... this would be a great episode for season 3..... keep up the writing my friend:twilightsmile:

WE FIND THAT THE STORY IS OF PURE BRILLIANCE! WE LOVE IT! We apologize, it is hard to break the use of the royal canterlot voice.

IF THOU ENJOYEST THY LUNA STORIES SO MUCH, GO SEEK "MUSIC OF THE NIGHT", ONE OF OUR OTHER TALES! IT IS A MUSICAL! :flutterrage:

heehee. We shall certainly go and read it. Would thou be willing to recommend any other great Trixie or Luna stories to us?

391089 Welllll, actually I have another story that I JUST finished a couple of days ago that could use a new reader or two. "Seeing the Pattern" focuses on Pinkamina predicting and preventing deaths using the power of the Pinkie Sense (NOT a cupcakes Pinkamina, whuuuuut? :pinkiegasp:), and Luna plays a major role. Casting her as a more traditional "angry goddess of night/death/fertility", she makes for a pretty great character.

I also have a story called "Princess Pranks", in which Rainbow Dash tutors Luna in the ways of Prank Playing. Just one part so far, but pretty funny. :rainbowwild:

We would love to read them all! We find your writing style to be fantastic!

Just a note, this damn April fools prank is annoying when reading!

391900

Yes, from what I understand the prank doesn't touch the words "Applejack" and "Twilight", though. Those words on their own don't spring the prank on themselves. Maybe wait a day? "Seeing the Pattern" is my baby, so if there's one to save for NOT April Fool's day, its that. :pinkiesad2:

Aweeh, we do not wish you to be sad. Please do not cry.

391971 I sowwy... I just put a lot of sweat and blood into Seeing the Pattern. Then as soon as it is done this junk happens. Bleh... just getting one more pony to read it is nice, though! :pinkiehappy: You were so kind to read Music of the Night all at once tonight, I can't wait to see your reaction to Seeing the Pattern.

Goodnight for now (Tiz 1am here)

Yeah its 1 am here too. we should be going to bed as well. It was a pleasure speaking with you, we hope to speak again with you tomorrow.

" 'What… must I do?' she said" That line seemed very serious, and I loved it alot, though I would mention that it would be better if you wrote "asked" instead of "said" because she really was asking instead of looking.

Pardon my grammar nazism.

On another note, this is the second touching trixie story I have read so far, and almost shed manly tears to. I must say it was touching, and I do wish they'd do something like this in the series itself... I miss the one-shot ponies and how they aren't appearing repeatedly. Trixie, Blueblood, and the others make the world of equestria so much bigger, and more real. It's not just the central characters with a story you know.

Well, with a story like this one in your pocket already, I can see why you initially didn't plan on using Trixie as the Moon Champion. When your Muse has already found a path to redemption for a troubled pony, it's hard to shift views for a different road in the yellow wood. This was a touching redemption story for the unicorn mistress of prestidigitation (though considering that she doesn't have hands, I'm not sure that's the proper title for her), and seems to flow naturally for Zecora's character as shamaness. I can't help but think that if the Moon Champion Trixie had found this route away from Ponyville in the first place, her story as Moon Champion might have had a considerably different direction.

One thing bothered me for this story, though. Trixie was supposedly living with Zecora all during the time she was studying under the Zebra's guidance, so that should have carried through the time span where the Mane 6 encountered the Zebra. (At least, that would explain how Pinkie recognized Zecora in the end scene in the story.) So I'm curious as to where Trixie would have been during the period where that encounter took place. As loud as the group was when they charged into Zecora's home, I can't see how Trixie would have missed that encounter. Other than that inconsistency, I'd give this one high marks. As usual, thanks for sharing this with us. :moustache:

The ending. DAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW

I came across this little gem and I'm glad I did. A few minor grammar issues but nothing I can't overlook.

I have a soft spot for characters that manage to redeem themselves through self-realization and a good deal of courage. It was a tough road for Trixie but things managed to work out in the end. :yay:

Nice job!

*WHACK* *Zecora strikes Aegis Shield on the head with her staff.

You must write more Zecora stories, for those who want more and morrie. :derpytongue2:

D48

That was beautiful. The path to redemption felt spot on, and the reconciliation at the end was a great way to wrap things up.

Heh i keep reading your stories and i have yet to be disappointed.
:moustache:You got mad skillz brony, keep it up :rainbowdetermined2:

I stated I would review or comment on your works I've read, so here I go, lets get started!
We'll start with the bad, before we get to the good, I don't like leaving a review on a sour note.

If you haven't finished this story and you are a reader, I advise not reading this review any further!

While I greatly enjoy reading about Trixie, and a little bit about Zecora. I mostly feel that only Zecora was in character for the most part. While this was very well done, Trixie did not feel so Trixie. The roles were good, the story was relatively decent, but Trixie, just felt a little off. I felt some of her in there throughout the story and acknowledge the skill it takes to get that close. I also felt the pace on this one could have been more even and detailed. As per usual, it was strung with errors in both word choices or spelling. But, in personal belief those are a minority and you don't do it often enough to make it annoying. A little harsh I know, but if you can't be truthful about a review you shouldn't do them.

Onto the good!

My favorite part, building up the author after I've dumped mud all over their wings.. it really drags ya down you know? Sticky icky muck that just doesn't go away!

Firstly I'd like to say that the plot, the couplets, the ending and the story in general were all done very well. I especially enjoyed Zecora in this one. She was fantastically written, never missed a queue and made this story very upbeat for the setting it was in. While the pace was a little off the story depth and character insight were on the spot.

Trixie could have been more Trixie, but then no good author writes a character exact. Literature is to take something, anything whether it's a view on a topic, or even the mold of a character and show their interpretation of that character. While I applaud more accurate Trixie, this one was still very well done and very heart warming to see.

You also did well on the emotional scale moving us (the reader) where you wanted us to go, and how you wanted us to feel. That in itself is not an easy feat and though while my review might not be the most subtle or gentle I think you can appreciate my view of it.

Over all, while it's not as masterful as Rise of the Lunar Stallions Saga (if you haven't read it, get your butt over there and read it, bring tissue and a soft drink, you'll need them both.) This was still a very well enjoyed fic. Thank you for the fun read and another wonderful Trixie fic.

This concludes the review, if you've not read the Rise of the Lunar Stallions Saga yet, read no further.

I've seen somewhere on your blog or something about you if it's not 1-2-3 and such the stories are unrelated and are likely thus not in the same universe. Which I assume this fic, has nothing to do with the Trixie of.. well your other fic(s) Do you ever plan to or have considered linking any same universe writing and expanding on any of YOUR world that you've made of Equestria, or will your version of Equestria be given to us as bits of parallel universes that while do not connect directly build a bigger picture of how you see the world and it's history, and if so will you have any special way of letting us know they are in some way shape or form connected? This is a big and probably a scary question to ask so I don't really expect an answer. Still, it's a question worth rousing. Furthermore, do you have any plans to write anything else about Trixie? Something for you to mull over. Sorry about the extra "pick your brain question" but, if I don't make you think just a little, then I'm losing my touch; and I have a reputation to uphold. :pinkiehappy:

Take care and keep on writing!

Signing Off,
Shining Glory

980043 Building a universe in which all your stories take place can be a beautiful thing, but it comes with several huge drawbacks:

1. Once you make a rule you have to follow it all the time. That's like a chain around my hooves, that's no good.
2. If your stories intermingle people will assume there's some sort of timeline and try to fit it all together. What if you kill somepony off, banish them to the moon, or something else? Are they gone for good and you can never write about them again?
3. What if people haven't read your other stuff? I *HATE* stories that say "this will make no sense to you unless you've read X". I want just one story, thank you, I don't need six to make something make sense.

It's beautiful in theory and on paper, but doesn't work in practice. :(

Zecora just doesn't get love from the Fic community, because people dread writing to match her speech affinity.
This story does show the depths deep inside, from the two characters the show tends to hide.
You have well indeed earned your Favorite star, keep writing like this and you will go very far.

So the song "What Faith Can Do" by Kutless was playing while reading the last part of this fic. Really pushed it over the top for me. Great job Aegis.

this is a wonderful story, and i enjoyed reading it very much!

Oh, this was a lovely story of transformation. My heart feels fuzzy. :trixieshiftright::twilightblush:

Very good story, I haven't run into to many stories with Zecora yet. It was cool to see her as a main character.
I'm not a fan of Trixie but you did a good job and overcame my prejudice.

This is exactly what I had been hoping for in "Magic Duel"... and in some ways, I think we got it!

It takes a strong person to say sorry, and an ever stronger person to forgive.

When you forgive, you in no way change the past - but you sure do change the future.

This is awesome. I love stories about forgiving.:raritycry::heart:

I'm sorry, but I was too off put by everypony's intense anger towards Trixie to really enjoy this fic. I mean, if it had been after the Alicorn Amulet incident, I could have understood it, but if you stop to think about it, she really didn't do anything wrong in her first appearance. Yes she was a liar and a braggart and a poor sport, but ultimately her antics amounted to nothing more than some harmless showboating. It was Snips and Snails who put everyone in danger by luring the Ursa Minor into town, and they were both let off because they were too dumb to know any better and sincerely apologized afterwards. Honestly, there's no reason for the townsponies to try and lynch her, or for the Mane Six to react so violently at the sight of her.
