This story is a sequel to Cold Rain
After the events of Cold Rain, Twilight escapes prison and comes back to San Francisco to fight in a war she desperately wants to win. She needs to win, or Earth will be enslaved, a shell of what it once was. She, her friends, and their loyal band of followers from Equestria must save Earth and its people from the dictator known as Celestia.

3284315 Thanks. After I wrote Cold Rain (the prequel), I decided I wanted to keep going, and with me wanting to write something more action-esque, combined with a ton of Linkin Park's song, The Catalyst (which this story is named after), this was the result. Oh, and you might want to read the last chapter of Cold Rain so you know more about what's going on and why. The other chapters aren't that important to this story. Anyways, stay tuned, because there shall be more to come (hopefully soon).
Nice chapter but it felt rushed a little too rushed but other than that pretty good, though i personally feel that Carolus Rex would be better suited to Celestia taking over the country in one fell blow.

1: Your picture is staring into my soul in a strangely friendly way.
2: I can see where you come from, but I think that Equestria is too large for Celestia to take it over in one fell swoop. Can you imagine Celestia and her small army having to work through the thousands of ponies who died? They'd get tired, and an armed resistance would almost certainly be formed. Which I'll touch on next chapter.
