Uhm... I think in the show they mention that Angel is male. Also you seemed to have switched up Angel's gender yourself in the story. During everything at Fluttershy's place Angel is referred to as female but after your break in scene where she is worrying about what happens at night Angel is referred to as male.

You should try your hardest to not switch tenses mid-sentence, which I noticed a lot. Keep it in past tense; it's the easiest to stay in.
