Guy is taking care of Violet and from what we know about the Guy is that he doesn't really like Violet using magic. So the line "It looks like you did a few big spells" is a joke. How? The lines before that it talks about how Violet ruffles her mane (from what we have seen in other parts magic tends to change the mane up a little and it becomes uncombed.)
So he is joking with Violet in saying she did a spell even thought she didn't.
Basically Twilight will see the mane and be like Oh you guys must have done some magic and Guy and Violet are both going to just smile and wave.
