Equestria has always repelled invaders in the past. From dragons to griffons, the powerful kingdom stood immobile against the plight of evil. But, in the not too distant future, a new enemy arrives to alter the fate of Equestria, and the world itself. An alien race, known as the Stalkers, arrive, instantly devouring the planet. In a matter of months, they claim the throne, and after a hundred years, not much of the original pony culture is left standing.
Groups of ponies band together, forming ramshackle communities among the disaster. Out of these communities, strong willed ponies arise, acting as guardians and defenders against the alien menace. And of these ponies, Silver Stars, a guardian of New Appleloosa, shines above the rest. Her strength and will to survive carries her throughout the new world. But after meeting a doctor in the wild, Silver takes it upon herself to escort this pony through the dangerous wilderness. In turn, he promises her a haven from the woes of the world, and a chance at a new life. One without the constant fear and plight of the Stalkers.
