capelli is highly aggressive and not a sociable person during resistance 2, the reason he tried to kill himself was because he thought the ponies were chimera and he thought they were going to convert him, capelli would rather die than become a chimera, here read this it might sort things out a bit. http://resistance.wikia.com/wiki/Joseph_Capelli
Ok, so basically he's perfectly fine with getting captured and having some fucking horse mind-raping him? I call bullshit, he didn't put any resistance to her threatening him and viewing his memories and you can't tell me that the human mind wouldn't at least be able to try repelling a foreign mental invasion. Also, what happened to the mental blasts? Was that Hale that had that, and if so how come Capelli didn't have it? Sorry if it seems like I'm being an asshole, but he's letting his final sanctuary get invaded way to easily by a creature he's never met before, and technically they did attack him first; not his fault that he didn't know that the bear belonged to Fluttershy. So far the story is rather good though, considering that I've never played Resistance before.
Why would he trust Celestia?
well he doesn't really have a choice
