Sequel to Ray.
Tempest escapes imprisonment and uses Ray's past teachings to turn mad bomber in attempt to kill him and the team responsible for putting him behind bars, under the diversion of radical road gangs fighting for supremacy of the wasteland and Equestria's new fuel supply.
[12/17/2017 Update]: Both Ray stories have been tagged as "alternate universe" since they follow outdated Season 2 canon and I'm not interested in updating the "Rayverse" to accommodate later seasons. That includes potential sequels I have planned.

Intentional geographic confusion. The oasis lead to a river, which lead to a waterfall, which lead to the Everfree Forest.
This is not another one of those "magically-transported-to-Equestria" stories... I'm trying something a little different here.
My idea is that Equestria exists many years in the future after us humans nearly destroy each other in nuclear wars. I hinted at this in the first story when I mentioned that ponies were once born into a chaotic land long ago, before Celestia, which is actually mentioned in the show. Perfect opertunity to tie my idea into it, so thus we have this concept. With us humans becoming more extinct as these years of killing each other go by, the more room these ponies have to grow and rebuild society, to the point that we now see what we have in the actual show.
Then here comes Ray, with a huge army after him, to screw up the works. Yes, he's the big hero now and saved the day back in the first story, but now thanks to human influence, our problems have now become theirs. Thus we have a universe I felt I needed to expand with this sequel.
And, no, the fact the ponies "rebuild" with such primitive technology and magic, without knowing of modern human technology like cars and guns prior to all of this, in NOT a plot hole. Remember Equestria is home to "schizo technology", an already established plot hole of sorts in the actual show, but only because it's a fun children's cartoon. Here I'm attempting to fill this hole with an idea... that I don't feel I should explain yet. I'd rather write the rest of my concept in the story instead of just spilling out all the info right here.
I hope you are not disappointed with the direction I'm taking this, and if you are, I'm sorry you don't like it. I just write for the fun of it. I don't expect my works to be taken 100% seriously.

Shining needs to take his head out of his ass. Changelings died enmasse to protect Canterlot during the Raiders invasion, I'm sure they repaid their own invasion with a surplus. And you simply cannot overlook just how massive of a tactical advantage they are - can fly and user magic at the same time, assume any shape for perfect infiltration, can communicate mentally, have their own entire unique biotechnology, their own approach to problems, etc.

Yeah but I'm not sure when. I'm definitely interested in finishing, as well as work on the third installment, but I'm going through a lot of RL drama thats keeping me from doing all that at the moment. I might find more time in January.
BTW, hope you enjoy. Expect a lot of poorly-written cringe though... it was basically my first fanfic and it shows.
