The year is 2241. Earth and the Solar Sector are but a memory for human kind, long ago destroyed by conflict. Outland humans have searched for a new homeworld in alien space and found Equestria, a magical planet of ponies and creatures not unlike those found in human mythology. For many years the humans and ponies have been in good relations, becoming technological equals. But an advanced faction of humans has other plans for the planet, seeking total conquest. Only a powerful defense force of all combined species can repel this new threat: the 125th Stellar Defense Force. Also known as... Battlewings.

Lunar Security pilot Rainbow Dash has been given a rare opportunity to join this special alliance, to train and overcome personal obstacles in order to face the threat head-on, with the help of a human fighter pilot and an eccentric crew aboard the supercarrier RES "Dreadnaught." Many hardships will follow on their journey to their secret base, but it is up to her and her comrades to persevere, as the fate of Equestria lies in their hands and hooves. Strap in and get ready for a wild ride!

Adapted from a workprint for a miniature effects film I tried to make years ago but was unable to finish. Thought it would be good writing exercise to adapt and expand the concept into a literary format. (Cover art by me.)

Some warnings before reading: This story deals with the Equestria-as-a-planet concept (something I'm not particularly a fan of but was necessary for the plot), the world is very retrofuturistic as it's an homage to 80s sci-fi/action, I tried to make the combat and military organization sound technically accurate (so expect a lot of attention to detail on how their systems work and sentences full of abbreviations and acronyms), and there is of course some profanity. If these aren't your thing then I suggest avoiding this one, but feedback and criticisms are appreciated.

Sequel to Ray.

Tempest escapes imprisonment and uses Ray's past teachings to turn mad bomber in attempt to kill him and the team responsible for putting him behind bars, under the diversion of radical road gangs fighting for supremacy of the wasteland and Equestria's new fuel supply.

From the desert wastelands of a post-apocalyptic Earth, a lone road-dwelling scavenger stumbles upon the magical land of Equestria while escaping a rogue military faction. Time falls short for the human man and his building friendship with the community of intelligent ponies, as the faction has followed his tracks into Ponyville. With the help of his new friends and their former foe, he prepares to defend against this powerful new menace in a daring last stand.
