Sequel: Road Gangs: Ray Part II
From the desert wastelands of a post-apocalyptic Earth, a lone road-dwelling scavenger stumbles upon the magical land of Equestria while escaping a rogue military faction. Time falls short for the human man and his building friendship with the community of intelligent ponies, as the faction has followed his tracks into Ponyville. With the help of his new friends and their former foe, he prepares to defend against this powerful new menace in a daring last stand.
[12/17/2017 Update]: Both Ray stories have been tagged as "alternate universe" since they follow outdated Season 2 canon and I'm not interested in updating the "Rayverse" to accommodate later seasons. That includes potential sequels I have planned.

Well, I won't lie that it's a slight self-insert, with a tweaked name (Ray's full name is Skyray), even though this version of me lives in a distant, chaotic future.
But, a "Stingray chopper?" I'm not sure what you mean. The aircraft in the picture is the Boeing-Vertol Model 347, an experimental CH-47 "Chinook" from 1970 with a longer fuselage, wings, and a crane-operator station behind the cockpit.

Though, in the story the villain weaponized it, so it now carries under-wing hardpoints for various rockets and missiles, and a chin turret housing a minigun. Its basically in likeness of the Soviet Mi-24 gunship as an homage to 80's action movies, but it didn't seem to make sense he'd have it in his inventory, so I got creative using a BV-347 instead.

Remember this is a post-apocalyptic future. Many "customizations" can be done to various firearms, and someone had the bright idea of modding a WA-2000 before it landed in Ray's hands. I know personally that modding a SR as such is rediculous and impractical, but tell that to Ray. Or the person who modded it. But in the end, who cares? It shoots, it kills... Need something to defend yourself in the chaotic deserts.

Wow, I guess the guards are gonna have to team up with Ray if they have any chance of eliminating the changelings. Magic beats technology any day. Explosive fireballs to take out the tanks and aircraft, then lightning shocks to eliminate the soldiers, 'nuff said.
