Because all haters, and I mean ALL haters, are just kids with no lives and nothing better to do with yourself. I met a reader of mine awhile ago who was begging me for another chapter. I may have dislikes, but I also have favorites. Don't waste your breath, you don't make me feel threatened.
2626650 I am 20 years old and in college majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Literature. I have seen fics come by the truckload, i.e. Poor plotline, grammatical errors, pacing issues, etc.
I don't expect you to feel threatened. In all honesty, you're going to wake up in the morning, go to your part-time job at McDonalds, and not give a hoot about what I have to say.
Have you ever considered these "favorites" are but trolls? Either that or autistic people? I've seen numerous accounts of this in my travels around FanFiction and FiMFiction, so don't say that this is a silly idea.
Why not try to rewrite this, eh? Spit and shine a bit, your story might gleam a tad brighter, yes?
