In a deleted scene from Season 6 Episode 6 - No Second Prances, Discord expresses his satisfaction with the way Twilight handled Starlight's friendship with Trixie.

The Princesses of Equestria's "forgiveness and redemption with little repercussions" friendship policy for several major villains has worked pretty well so far for the good of Equestria. However in Princess Twilight Sparkle's case, what happens when it suddenly... doesn't?

After Trixie's "Way-To-Go-Dum-Dum-You-Really Messed-It-Up-This-Time Repentance Tour" show in Ponyville, many ponies have re-evaluated their opinions on Trixie, giving her a little more respect.

Fluttershy, however, sees beyond the show and wonders just what truly happened. Fluttershy asks Trixie about her emotional state, and what she was truly feeling right before launching herself out of the cannon.

Their chat reveals a few surprising things about Trixie's life.

Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship. More like Princess of Not-Friendship, right? Following her latest friendship with Trixie, Starlight Glimmer confronts Twilight about friends, and how it seems like Twilight doesn't actually have many of them.

Having waited all night to meet Starlight Glimmer and her new friend, Princess Celestia finally gets the opportunity to do just that when Twilight eventually returns with her pupil in tow. Within the halls of Twilight's castle, four ponies sit to share stories, worries, and declarations of friendship.

Coral is not one of those ponies.

This doesn't change when her family is taken by a birdlike beast beyond her world and imprisoned in a pocket dimension with a limited air supply, or when he gives her an ultimatum: If she enters a dangerous ancient temple legendary in his world for its difficulty, a magical anomaly filled with traps and puzzles that only the pure of heart can enter, and succeeds in taking its treasure and bringing it to him, he will give her family back to her.
