The siren Carol is dead, murdered by Brutus, who she once trusted and started to grow fond of. The ones behind the act thought it would be an easy power grab, but they couldn't have been more wrong. Every single Chorus is at the others' throats to get the spires and hunting grounds left behind, and in the bloody battle over power, Carol's spire remains desolate and without control, earning the name "The Lonely Spire". Their hunting grounds are a mess, all of them having to catch their meals and run before they're chased out by either fighting or enemy patrols. No one knows if they'll survive, what to do, or if the Water Dragons of the deep will devour them or not that day.

The Deep Sea hippocampi are prone to mutations due to the high water pressure, making their forms either short and wide, or tall and thin. The most notable mutations all of them have is their luminescence, and their blade hooves, which only half of the populous has.
