This story is a sequel to Three of Hearts

Joining the Royal Guard seemed like the adventure of a lifetime to Azurite. She just never imagined that her career would heave her life down the path it did. After struggling with her job, the injury of her partner, and her relationship, she’s found herself in entirely new territory: love. She’ll soon discover that love is only one of the elements necessary to keep ponies together.

Three of Diamonds is a comedy-romance story that pokes fun at some of the common tropes found in the genre. It is a direct sequel to Three of Hearts. Readers will need to be familiar with that story.

ToD is also an interwoven side story of Secrets of a Royal Guard.

It has been twenty years since the founding of the Kingdom of Etheria. In that time many things have changed but some stayed the same. For a young mare, Etheria was just another ally, to another it was a place that held something of great value. But to most it was a kingdom of darkness and shadows and many would wish it gone from the world.

How do you make someone realize that they love you? Pinkie Pie finds herself struggling with this simple conundrum, running and hiding every time the pony of her affections makes an appearance. After a long and unpleasant stay in a dumpster, however, Pinkie decides that enough is enough—it's time to take matters into her own hooves.

Now in addition to discovering her one true love she must deal with irate spouses, horny princesses, and what seems like more than half the ponies in Equestria, each clamoring for a piece of the action. But with her best pal Fluttershy at her side, Pinkie is confident that she can overcome any odds—all she needs to do is sneak away to find her first.

Surely things can't get any worse, can they?

In ages past, just after the defeat of Discord, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna and Commander Hurricane thwarted an invasion of Infernal beings from Tartarus bent on capturing Equestria's magic and enslaving her people. The cost of victory was high, though, and while Celestia has persevered through countless crises since then, the losses on that Infernal battlefield haunt her to this day.

But Paul Harken, a modern-day student of the occult from Earth, will soon give Celestia a chance at the salvation she so desperately desires, even as Equestrian history threatens to repeat itself. While attempting to summon the demon who ruined his life, an error in the ritual instead delivers Twilight Sparkle into Harken's summoning circle. At first confused and then concerned, the pair finds themselves on the run, pursued by a secret order of demon-hunters, and their desperate attempt to return Twilight to Equestria only plays into the hands of a far older and more sinister foe.

Dusk Shine is a genius with a horrible case of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, he cannot sit still for more than five minutes without becoming jittery and unfocused, unable to focus on one thing at a time, and uncontrollable impulsiveness. Despite this disorder, Dusk Shine has gone on to do many great feats and accomplishments.

Dusk Shine shows pride in his talent and accomplishments, maybe a little too much. Actually excessive to the point where many psychologists believe Dusk Shine has a God-like Complex. Actually, Dusk Shine just thinks he's better than everyone.

If only Dusk Shine wasn't such an annoying, selfish jerk to Celestia by mistake, he wouldn't be forced to watch over the preparations of the boring Summer Sun Celebration instead of preparing for the return of Nightmare Moon.
