Spike is separated from his friends when he falls through a hole created during an earthquake. Deep beneath the earth, he finds a forest teeming with life, both breathtakingly beautiful and breathtakingly lethal. Unfortunately, many of its inhabitants would like to make a meal of him. Now, Spike has to find a way to contact his friends while avoiding monster bugs. Somehow, he must survive and not succumb to his baser instincts.

On Hearths Warming eve Spike found himself alone in the library after a gut feeling told him that he needed to stay in Ponyville. But as the time ticked away and Spike's faith begins to falter, did he make the wrong choice and is doomed to spend Hearths Warming without his friends and family? or will Spike finally get the one thing he has always wanted?

Shorty after the events of Sparity, Spike has always been catious of any mares that could still be affected by the potion. Rarity, after those events, has finally realized her love for Spike. Once she admits it to him, Spike becomes doubtful and nervous that she is still somehow effected by the potion. So he gives her the antidote over and over again, but doing nothing, Spike decides to give this relationship a try.
