She sings for the one who will never know either.

But when the mare who holds her heart overhears, will she have the strength to continue?

A series of short scenes, snippets and skits - attached to various episodes - following a behind-the-scenes relationship between Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.

Inspired by Bookplayer's "The Appledash Project", which encouraged me to try the same premise with another ship!

Fluttershy might be stronger than she looks.

At least, that's what Rainbow says. Applejack's skeptical, to say the least. Especially after she just lost an arm wrestling match. Besides, that sweet, gentle pony couldn't win a tug-of-war against butterflies, much less be stronger than her, right?

...Right?

Rainbow has known Fluttershy for a long time, almost longer than she can remember remembering things at all. Lately, though... things have been weird. Not like... super weird, but weird.

It's like... Shy is still Shy, but cooler? Not quite. It's complicated. Rainbow wasn't actually planning to do anything about it, though. Not until Applejack stuck her nose into Rainbow's business.

Still, maybe it will be okay. She just has to talk to Shy, right?

Two years had passed since Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy had started dating. Today was the day they agreed to start a family. This day was going to start a brand new beginning to their relationship. And they couldn't be happier when their foal was born.

But a mishap starts when Fluttershy reveals something. Something so innocent that it could break their family before it even started, and possibly, their relationship.

How could she hope to break such innocence?

Following another date together, Discord asks Fluttershy to talk dirty to him.

Perhaps he should've been clearer about it.

Fluttershy admired Rainbow Dash. Since their time together in flight school, she wondered what it would be like to say it aloud. Of course, Rainbow already knew, but saying it aloud would change everything. So it was never said.

Years later, as Rainbow, Fluttershy, and their friends are poised to step onto the stage of Equestrian politics, those words don't seem nearly so daunting. A simple question.

The answer, however, might prove enough to tear Ponyville apart at the seams.
