Much has past since Twilight ascended into alicornhood. It wasn't the best moment of her life knowing that she had become immortal. Everyone around her, her friends, her family, all laid to rest, but only she remained among mortals and among the princesses.

During a cold winter, Twilight looks back at what life was like for her while going to her friends' graves, paying respects to them, and to never forget what they had done for her when they were once part of her life.

Takes place 40 years after the end of the series.

Just like her predecessor, Celestia, Twilight wants to teach the magic of friendship to unique unicorns. And maybe, one day, one of them will have all the required qualities to be an alicorn, and a princess. This story follows some of her most prominent students. Wether they were good in magic, had many friends, or were just close to the her.

Twilight's been almost alone for a thousand years, and in a desperate attempt to bring her friends back, intentionally unseals Discord, Spirit of Chaos, from his stone slumber.

He's in for some nasty surprises, since she's changed quite a bit over the years...

Immortality isn't all it's cracked up to be. Just ask someone who would know. Like... Apple Bloom, for instance.

Because even after so long, the Elements of Harmony will always share their lessons of friendship.

During the celebrations for her birthday, the princess decides to pay a short visit to the ruins of the castle she had once called her home. When her student comes to look for her, waking her from her remembrance, the alicorn decides to open up to the younger pony about her insecurities, leading Twilight and Celestia to a conversation about how to deal with the consequences that come from their lifespan.

Twilight Sparkle has ruled Equestria for over a thousand years. From her throne atop the floating city of Concord, she enforces ruthless harmony over the handful of surviving settlements. But Twilight is afraid: Equestria's survival always hangs by a thread, as enemies more ancient than the Alicorns threaten to return and devour what she has built.

Twilight selects her star pupil, a young unicorn named Star Orchid, to travel down from the perfect city of Concord into the dangerous ruins beneath, so that she might locate these forces, and help Twilight to destroy them. Only when every threat to Equestria is finally dismantled will she be able to rest. Until then, there is much left to purify.

This story takes place in the same universe as Why We Dig. I'm not going to call it a sequel, since none of its characters will be aware of anything in that story, so you won't have to be either.

Years in the future, Twilight Sparkle, now the sole ruler of Equestria, struggles with trying to give her friends a send-off that she deems worthy. She soon finds that this may be an impossible task.

An ode to ten years of My Little Pony, and a reminder that the adventures never really ended.

It's been a hundred years since Twilight was crowned. Most of her original friends are gone. Now, only Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy remain, each with a spark of something special keeping them past their time.

But unlike Twilight, neither of them has a claim to true immortality.

Winner of the 15th Quills and Sofas Speedwriting contest. The prompt was "A Worthy End." The contest was a two-parter, and each chapter was written in an hour, and then expanded slightly afterwards.
