Twilight has just been crowned as a princess but is unsure of what her role will be. On top of that, she is hiding a secret that she is scared to admit to anypony, even the one that it would affect the most.

I mean, I could ask Twilight out. I know she would say yes, and we would both be oh so happy, but...it's scary. I think we're in a good place right now, right? We both know our feelings and there isn't a reason to rush on them. Right? Oh, Fluttershy, get it together. It can't be that hard.

Right?

Winter is coming up quick, and Fluttershy needs help to get her animal friends ready, but the Pegasus has other reasons for asking Twilight.

The unicorn and the pegasus Twilight and Fluttershy have a nice friendly sleepover at Twilight's library. As the event progresses, it escalates into something better than they could hope for.

Hearts and Hooves Day is drawing near, and Twilight is determined to figure out this whole "love" business. She's prepared to dig through romance novels and travel through the Everfree Forest and back for answers. However, her research project keeps bringing her back to one particular pegasus, who's been doing a secret project of her own.

Twilight, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie take some time off to go to the Equestrian Writer's Convention on invitation from Princess Celestia to organize the afterparty once the convention winds down. A bookworm herself, Twilight is overjoyed to attend, Fluttershy being a passive lover of books decides to accompany her, and Pinkie Pie is anywhere a party may be.

But even under the wave of good-natured fun and gratuitous cameos*, drama loves to rear it's ugly head. Also featuring Pony Joe.
