It is the first court session that three alicorns of Equestria will be holding together but Celestia has other plans for this court session that are less diplomatic and bit more scandalous.

The Evil Robot Empire has fought Equestria for centuries. Imperial secret robot agent, Lyra Heartstrings, has been sent to Ponyville to infiltrate local cult of Smooze worshipers. To achieve that, with help of her trusty henchpony Bon-Bon, she kidnapped a little sister of one of prominent cult figures and replaced her with her robotic doppelganger.

Nothing can go wrong, am I right?

(This is technically Friendship is Witchcraft fanfiction, but knowledge of that abridged series is not required to enjoy this story.)

Celestia awakens one fine morning, only to find that her toaster has been acting up. Upon further investigation, it is no ordinary toaster... but one that she thought to have defeated long ago. So, she assembles a crack team to deal with the nasty machine. Toast ensues.

Trixie finds herself on the road, her carriage trundling slowly through a thick forest. As the sun begins to fall behind the horizon, Trixie decides to stop for the day, using the time to practice a new spell she has been planning.

Using the knowledge from a rare book, Trixie puts the finishing touches on a spell to create an illusion of herself. An illusion so powerful one could mistake it for the real thing...

Fluttershy comes out to the rest of the bearers of the Elements as a trans mare. This story follows what happens next: with her, with the mare she's fallen in love with, with the Mane Six, and with respect to their friendship.

This was (and remains, for that matter) my first fic, and was an attempt to apply concepts of transgender identity to Equestria. I felt like a world as accepting of, well, everything as Equestria tends to be would be a fascinating place to explore identity. I hope it worked!

A note: "trans mare" refers to somepony assigned male at birth and raised as a colt who comes to identify as a mare later in life. I'm following human usage here.
