It is a term used to describe young teens who have grandiose delusions, and in some cases, have convinces themselves that they have secret powers.

Finding her past embarrassing, Sunset will try everything to start her high school journey quietly after moving out from her city.
But not everything went as planned when she meets Twilight Sparkle, a girl in her class suffering from the very same syndrome, who calls herself 'The God Princess of Night'.

Chunibyo re-written as Equestria Girls with my own changes and implementations.
This is not a serious story, just writing stuff for the fun of it, don't take it too seriously.

Twilight Sparkle has always respected the laws of science and magic. It's a respect that got her a scholarship to SGU, where she formed a small but comfortable group of friends and has received top grades in her two years there. It's a life that makes sense.

With her final year beginning and a special instruction from the Princess to bond with a fellow pupil, Twilight has enough to fill her life and her mind. It doesn't make sense that she should have recurring dreams about a mysterious mare, that this mare seems eerily familiar despite being a total stranger, or that she can recall the dreams with unusual clarity.

Twilight has questions about Equestria and about herself, and the answers could reshape her perception of both. She begins her research with a central question:

What lies beyond the edge of a dream?

This is a sequel to Midnight at the Crystal Library and Home Again.

Midnight Sparkle, once a figment of Twilight's imagination and her own personal demon, is now a normal human girl. And the latest member of the Sparkle family. Plagued by guilt and shame over her previous actions, insecurity at her origins as a part of another's mind, and uncertain over her place in the world, Midnight will have a long road ahead of her. But, with the love of family and friends, her sister Twilight, and even that of the Princesses across the mirror, perhaps she can find a place of normalcy, happiness, and acceptance in this strange new world.

Twilight is invited by Archon Sunset Shimmer to visit her in the island nation of Freeport. To her surprise, she discovers that Sunset wants to court her. Sunset Shimmer sees the same phantom throughout Canterlot High School. A boy her age with spiky hair, who briefly appears before vanishing. It catches her eye, distracts her from her friends and their fret on the future. The future of Equestrian magic, the future of their powers, the future in general. Sunset can’t focus on that when the present holds a mystery she is forced to solve, especially as it overwhelms her as the days wane. The boy appears in two places at once, then three, until she comes to school to find dozens. Sunset is at the end of her rope when she stands face to face with him, the real him, unconscious within the portal leading to Equestria. As adamant as she is to help anyone in need of help, is it wrong to think that Princess Twilight Sparkle can deal with him? Let Sunset figure out the rest of her life with rampant Equestrian magic first? All she has to do is push him further into the portal, into Equestria. But she isn't that kind of person, and pulls him into her world instead.

Takes place after Kingdom Hearts III, and contains heavy spoilers for that game!

A complete rewrite of my previous story Kingdom Hearts: Friendship's Turmoil. As such, it has no connection nor bearing to this story besides a similar premise. This story does not require any other readings to enjoy.

After seeking refuge in Equestria during the Anon-A-Miss fiasco, Sunset Shimmer is stranded in Equestria. Convinced that she's just not cut out for friendship, Sunset throws herself back into her studies. Unfortunately for her, all the magic around CHS has attracted the attention of a certain spectacled scientist. When her device accidentally pulls the mysterious energy from the statue in front of the school, she is shocked when an amber unicorn was pulled out with it. With the portal not working, the two must work together to gather the energy needed to send Sunset home from the only magical source left to tap: Sunset's former friends, all while dealing with the overbearing principal of Crystal Prep as the Friendship Games approach.

With her ascendance into an alicorn princess, what Twilight Sparkle thought would be a simple royal summit to the Crystal Empire goes horribly wrong when Celestia's wayward former student Sunset Shimmer steals the Element of Magic into another world. Equestria's newest princess must hurry and get back her element before nefarious forces within this new world can use it to wreak havoc.

Forces that go beyond the notice of this world's inhabitants, bound within a game tied to the very history and fabric of this new world. The name of the game is Duel Monsters.

An alternate Yu-Gi-Oh take on Equestria Girls. After feeling uneasy about using someone else's established setting for my previous anthology, I decided to put my own spin on the concept, and thus we have Equestria Girls: Duel Monsters.

Canterlot High School is having a talent show, and the Rainbooms are eager to join in. However, things get complicated when the human world version of Sunset Shimmer suddenly makes an appearance. After much confusion and several mix-ups, she finally meets her counterpart and her friends. Unlike her counterpart, however, she's shy and reserved. The girls try to befriend her, but this Sunset doesn't seem to be too interested in friendship. She is, however, very interested in the rumors of magic surrounding Canterlot High, and seems to be hiding something magic related herself. And when magical mishaps begin to occur, the Equestria Girls begin to suspect that this new Sunset may be behind them. Is it possible that she's evil and power hungry the way her counterpart once was, or is there something else at work?
